Comment:

Being on time was not an important thing to this teacher. Also, we had absolutley no class work or homework so for the entire 16 weeks we only had 5 grades which were tests so if you messed just one up, your final grade could be ruined. Very unorganized, forgot class material occasionally and all classes: her reading aloud powerpoint for 4 hours.

I found her course very stimulating . Tests are mostly from notes and PowerPoints. She expects you to study the notes and read the material. Tests and quizzes are both on- line and in class. I like her.

Comment:

One of the worst teachers I've ever had. She spends the first twenty minutes taking roll, and then goes in and out of the powerpoints, telling pointless stories or yelling at you. She's very unorganized, doesn't check her email EVER, and gives NO notice for tests. The day after the PP is done you have the test (and that could be at any point).

I HIGHLY recommend taking this class during the summer. I did and got an A because it was short and easier to focus. She is unorganized so make sure you ask her for your grades or you will not get them back. Forming a study group with your classmates is helpful too. Get it done and over with during the summer.

She means really well, and she is usually very cheerful and easy going but she isn't the best as far as teaching the material so it's easy to comprehend. I can't understand her lectures so I basically had to teach my self everything. Disorganized, but she curves some tests so It's not too terrible.

I took her summer bio class and got an A, so I dont understand some of the comments posted during the summer that are negative. Maybe they were just those students who expected viscomi to hold their hand through the whole class. It's college. If you cant pass a beginners bio class on your own. good look with whatever major you chose. Tests r easy.

teacher ver difficult..tests do not correlate with books and notes given. the labs never end early. She will leave the class for an hour and come back just to take the lab quiz forcing the class to stay til the very end of the lab.

Most unprofessional teacher I've ever had. Speaks in fragments, forgets tests, doesn't teach, late daily, doesn't show up for class, yells at students for "distracting the class" by taking notes, leaves the classroom to talk on the phone, sometimes for more than a half hour. DO NOT take bio from this woman.

Although she is late to pretty much every class, Ms. Viscomi is a very good teacher. She trys to relate what she is teaching to things you understand and she trys to prepare you for all the quizzes and tests. She is a little out there sometimes but everyone has their faults. I totally reccomend her for Biology and Botany!! Super sweet and cute!
