Comment:

Pennington made Chemistry interesting for me, and it's never been a subject that I've really loved. The lectures fly by and he does lots of example problems. He's very interesting and tells fun stories/gives fun demonstrations. Only complaint would be that sometimes the lectures can seem a bit disorganized--but not impossible to follow or anything.

Comment:

Dr. Pennington is hands down one of the best professors at Clemson. He genuinely cars about his students, and makes his class one that you should get an A in if you show up. He is funny, willing to give extra credit, and probably the most approachable/likable professor I've had. Get Dr. P if you can!

Comment:

Dr. Pennington is the best. He likes to get to know his students and loves helping students out too. I had some trouble following his teaching style but with some studying and some extra work outside of class (which is necessary for any class) it wasn't a problem.

Dr. Pennington was an awesome chem professor. He printed notes to help you follow along in class and was available to help after class and during office hours. He sometimes would skim through topics, so just pay super close attention in class or you'll miss something big. Awesome guy, awesome teaching, totally would take him again.

I loved having Dr. Pennington. He's a very smart and nice guy. He made class a lot of fun and really got to know each student pretty well. If you ask to meet with him for help, he's more than happy to help you! Not too much homework, it was just enough to make sure I fully understood the material (no busy work!). I really enjoyed his class!!

Dr. Pennington is the best! Definitely my favorite professor so far. He's interesting, explains concepts well, and he genuinely cares about how well you do. Do the homework and go to class, even though it isn't mandatory: it definitely helps! Overall great guy and I HIGHLY recommend him!

Dr. Pennington is super sweet but not the best at explaining concepts. His class is not the most straightforward. But, if you meet with him after class he will bump up you grade, just show that you care about the grade that you make. It can get boring at times. Not the best but if you have him you can make do.

Pennington really is a great teacher. Fun demos and lessons that keep the class interesting. You rely a lot on the book in this class, but his lectures really help clear things up. Definitely go to class, he doesn't really take attendance but he gives a lot of easy in-class grades that can hurt you if you don't go. Overall, a great professor.

Dr. Pennington is able to explain chemistry concepts in a way that is easier to understand than just reading the text alone. He is extremely helpful and homework comprises a large part of the class. His tests can be difficult, but will help in your overall understanding of the material.

Dr. Pennington makes Chemistry as simple as he can, and uses great examples which help not only to keep the class interested, but also which explain the concept (ex: electric pickle, dipping balloons in liquid nitrogen, etc.). He assigns a moderate amount of homework, but grades it easily, and if you do it theres no way you can get a bad grade.

TAKE HIM! He is a wonderful teacher and very approachable if you have questions or concerns. His goal is for every one to have an A while understanding the course material. The class was a breeze but you will have to work at your homework. However, it all pays off.

Dr. Pennington is amazing! Extremely nice and helpful! Not much homework at all, just ten or so problems a chapter. He is also lenient on when it is turned in. Also comes up with random funny stories to help learn the material. Truly wants every student to get a good grade. Excellent teacher, take him!

He is a great teacher. He explains it on the board and the hw is alot like the tests. The homework is out of the book and is a little time consuming, but he is a lot of fun. Very helpful to all of his students. Does not pick favorites and learns everyones name. I would take him again.
