Dr. Bellone is a great teacher and nice person. She's very interactive with the class which helps. I studied quite a bit in this class with a group and got a good grade. Lab was disorderly at times, lecture sometimes jumped around too much, but this was her first time teaching the course. Don't take if you want an easy A or something. Also, horses.

Comment:

Overall, it was a good class and was not very difficult. Attending all lectures is very helpful, although some explanations are not very clear. Sometimes Dr. Bellone speeds through topics too quickly and others too slowly. However, I still got a higher grade than expected and honestly did not put a lot of effort into it.

Has a lot of enthusiasm for biology. Great lady. A very strict grader. BIO 204L was easy except for the midterm and final. They were absolutely horrible and labs do not help. She is a good teacher, but she is hard on some levels. You have to show interest.

She's just awesome. Her passion for science is contagious. Her exams were easy if you go to class and pay attention. Any bad reviews are probably from lazy students who don't like the challenge of a harder professor. With Dr. B, you actually get what you pay for for classes at UT.

This class is crazy hard! She will help you but she teaches as if you already know all of the material. In my class there were only about 3-4 people who made 100s on her tests. I don't recommend her

Do Not take this profesor! The labs are interesting and fun but she is way too tough on grading! she is very picky and grades as if we are experts in the subject. I've been to her office hours many times and she answered the phone and only gave me about 10 mins each visit. I do not recommend this teacher! if you take her GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Bellone is a tough professor, but if you show up to every class, read the book ahead of time, study and keep up with the material, take notes on her powerpoints, and pay attention, you'll do fine. Otherwise, you'll fail. It takes up time, but you learn so much from her

I LOVE Dr. Bellone. She is extremely helpful and wants her students to succeed more than anything. She goes out of her way to set up review session, and gives opportunities for extra credit. This being said, her class is not a walk through the park...you MUST work hard, but it is definitely possible to get an A. I am very glad I took her!!

I love Dr. Bellon, She does everything she can to help you remember the material and the rest is depend on how much time you invest. This was one of the memorable classes I had. She rocks at teaching. I recommend her to everyone who likes challenge and love to work hard she does not deny you of any effort and you will learn a ton. Thanks Dr. B

Stay away..if you have no interest in Bioloy...stay away because you will not pass!!!! she is not helpful...throws tooo much things at you....and on Scientific papers she does not help you..she grades you like you have been doing it for years...tests can be easy. She also gives her students no hope!! I have become depressed because of this class.

One of the most amazing bio professors ever! She's so enthusiastic about her field that even if you don't like bio you'd start loving it. She's so funny & has a great sense of humor. She's very clear about everything and if you need help she goes above and beyond to help you. This is why I changed her to my advisor now!

Dr. Bellone is a great professor. She's very nice and easy to talk to. She makes sure you completely understand everything she says. Her tests are quite difficult but not impossible.

I've taken two of her classes and I'm now doing research with Dr. B. She is so passionate about what she does and always wants her students to succeed. However, she will definitely challenge you. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Take her class!
