He expects a lot of this classes, and the quizzes are pretty hard. Our classes first test average was 71 which is just passing, and he said it was good. A bunch of people dropped out in the first few weeks. His homework is not hard. There is a quiz about every week.

He is a nice person but as a teacher, he is not the best teacher, although he is accessible outside of class and wants you to succeed in the class.

I have struggled in his class mostly because of his harsh grading. I thought I was good at French, and now I'm starting to question my French abilities. He is a nice person and can help you if you are struggling in his class, which is good.

Dr. Pitts is a great professor, there's no doubt. You can really learn a lot from him, but he is not going to reach out to you. With that being said, he may come off as harsh. My only complaint is that there wasn't much positivity in his classroom. It wasn't a "you can do it" atmosphere, which is what I needed.

Dr. Pitts is a great guy and really cares about his students, but his classes are not easy. I've never taken him for French, and I hope I never have to because I heard he's hardcore. Even in FYE, he would take little one-page papers super seriously. And his corrections wouldn't even make sense, they'd just be little words he'd rather be different.

Had for MWF class and it was so boring. He is a very harsh and subjective grader(beware accents). Online hw is easy. Weekly quizzes suck and add up. Follow the prompt for the comp's and put as much vocab in them because it is a set up for the test. Its just memorization so time spent with material is the best indicator of your grade. 91A 90B

WOSRT and I mean literally the worst teacher I have even experiences in my 4 years of college. He makes you feel stupid if you don't understand he extremely thick accent or you cant respond in the most perfect french you have ever spoken. Just to remind you, this is a beginner class where no one in the class has ever spoken french. HARSH GRADER.

Dr. Pitts is one of my favorite professors at Meredith. He is extraordinarily intelligent and he loves to talk to students. Be ready to work though, he expects a lot.

dr. pitts makes his classes much too hard. Avoid him if you can! He will bring so much stress to your life. No matter what you do, he finds something wrong with your work. I took a paper that I was working on to the learning center and I still got a bad grade. He is just ridiculously hard.

He was not understanding to those who didn't understand. Many people hated him in my class, but I didn't. He expects a great deal of effort from each student. He has no mercy on those who don't put forth any effort. As long as you try, you will be okay.

Awful teacher who is flat out rude to students and no help when you answer questions incorrectly. Eight point grading scale, 3 exams, no study guides. He advised me to seek help on a composition from the learning center at school. After getting help on the paper twice in the LC I received a grade of a 30. AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COST.

He always makes people feel stupid with his questions & he is not forgiving with late work at all. Homework every class & it takes forever. He gives quizzes(aren't multiple choice and have them at least 1/week)a lot and doesn't care if you're struggling & isn't willing to help. I failed his 101 class but got a 99 in Mme Darrah's 101. He's that bad.

I have him right now. His quizzes and tests are hard. The homework and labs are online & you can do them as many times as you want; he takes the best grade. Out of class work is 30% of grade. If you do your homework & get at least a D on quizzes/tests, you'll get a B. I was failing & met with him and he let me redo a lab just for meeting with him.

You couldn't pay me enough to even sit in the same room with this guy ever again, much less take a class taught by him! He's teaching methods are poor and he makes students feel stupid when they can't answer a question. I got an F in his class. The only other grade besides B's and A's that I got in French. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

He was an alright professor. I'm not very fond of him, but as far as teaching goes - as long as you keep up with the homework and the online work you'll be fine. I pulled a B even with some zeros thrown in. Just don't get behind because it's nearly impossible to get back up.
