Comment:

Dr. Simonds was great! She gave us opportunities to use our teacher training in Communication to deliver a workshop to area educators on how to model and teach Social Emotional Learning. It was a great learning experience and allowed us to be more civically engaged. She really cares about her students and community.

Comment:

Cheri is an amazing teacher. She knows her content very well and does a great job at making sure the class gets to know one another and connect so that when it comes to giving speeches, you're not as nervous. As long as you do the homework and show effort in your speeches, an A is easy. One of my best teachers.

This class was very difficult. Cheri didn't really teach, she depended on the students in the class to prepare and give the lectures and activities. At times it felt that she was more interested in her book rather than teaching the class. Her tests are very hard, and almost impossible to study for. You will feel very challenged in her class.

Even though this class is a review of everything I learned freshmen year of high school, the prof. is awesome. She's funny and she's willing to admit that even she's not perfect. She tries to avoid covering a topic too much if it's clear that we know it already. Other than being high school material, which isn't her fault, she teaches what she's given, the course is awesome, and easy.

Great teacher. Knows her stuff. She is more than willing to help you, and tries to make things clear.Tests are a little tricky,and you have a lot of hw from the workbook. I would recommend her if you care about improving your speech skills. I learned a lot.
