Comment:

Funny. Although, I like him as a person, I dont like him as a teacher. He creates powerpoints but most of the slides only include pictures. Its also difficult to tell what information he tells us is vital to the test. A lot of what he says is useless info. My class asked a lot of questions that had nothing to do with the lesson. Very off topic.

He is a great person but his teaching style is very difficult. He definitely does make you work for it and you are graded by a weekly homework and 4 tests. Be prepared to read the textbook every week.

I just hated his class. He expects us to read chapters and barely explains things. If your major is psychology you might like his class but if its not, I beg you dont take his class, he is a mean person and I always felt like he didnt care if we passed or not . The exams are 80% of your grade and no extra credit opportunities which sucks

This professor was off-putting and generally non-engaging during the parts he spoke during this class. Speaking to him individually was generally a mistake, as he was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I did well in the class and had few issues, but he made me hate coming to class.

Grade based off of 3 exams, 1 group project, & daily quizzes(100 for trying).THIS PROFESSOR HAS TOO MANY RESOURCES TO FAIL! literally has a Youtube channel (check out his lecture style--very enthusiastic). He does chat rooms, he gives study guides,sample exams, he has opportunities to get up to 16% pts on exams, my lowest exam was a 93!! TestsEASY

I loved his personality as an individual but was extremely difficult to pass his class. His tests were hard and required a lot of reading beforehand as it came mostly from the textbook. Its a lot of concepts to memorize. Also group presentations are required as well.

Comment:

Dr. Goode is the best professor I've taken. He makes difficult concepts easy and simple to understand and gives you different insights to things you would never expect to be true. I would 100% recommend taking Dr. Goode even if you aren't a psychology major. Very easy in class quizes DAILY. But they are very helpful in learning the material.

Dr. Goode makes the class very interesting, and is very knowledgeable. You dont have to come to his Intro to Drugs and Behavior class, but you will want to. Hes an easy grader. Would take again.

I absolutely enjoyed taking Dr. Goode. His class requires a laptop/phone in order to participate in all the quizzes he gives. He was such a blast to have as a professor and I wish every one of my psychology courses were taught by him. He really goes out of his way to make sure everyone understands the concepts. If you see his name--REGISTER!!!

Still not a fan of scholarly journal article reviews, but I loved Dr. Goode's class! He was super critical of the writing AND extremely accessible, supportive and encouraging every step of the way. If you are a fan of challenge, growth, and development, take Dr. Goode's 3530 class. The faint of heart need not register.

Comment:

This class was not as easy as the previous reviews I had seen on here made it seem. Attendance is mandatory, he takes roll every day. There are 4 stats tests and the remainder is the writing portion. Go to lab, easy way to earn points. His teaching style can be a little confusing at times, I definitely would not take him again. NO EXTRA CREDIT

Loved him, very energetic and enthusiastic. He always made class fun. Definitely recommend taking him if you have the chance. Like others said, the class can be neuro-heavy, but as a Neuroscience major, I loved that about his teaching style. It was still at a very basic level, so don't be scared off by that.

Comment:

Super cool professor. He's hilarious and has hands-on activities to help you remember the material. 4 tests, 3 other assignments. No 'material' textbook but a cheap novel was assigned. Attendance is mandatory so you will need to go for your own benefit as a lot of information is covered, but class is interesting. Very passionate about teaching.

Dr. Goode is fantastic! He explains everything really clearly. I took his honors class, and I learned more in there than in all of my other combined. He hosts study sessions online the night before exams and is always willing to answer questions. I plan to take many of his classes in the future!

Would not recommend. Focuses heavily on neuropsychology and all tests are reflective of that, along with his lectures. Grading scale is harsh, with 4 tests being 80% of your grade. For an intro class it was difficult; he gives out study guides for each test, but they are dense and convoluted. Weekly quizes and attendance mandatory. Stay away!

3530-I am terrible at math and anything related to it. However, being in Dr. Goode's class has taught me a great deal about my abilities. Dr. Goode was very patient, engaging and super generous with his time to help any student out. His detailed i tune videos were extremely helpful. Dr. Goode made coming to class a joy!
