Comment:
She is a hard teacher and her tests are wicked, but if you do well in the class you are bound to know the subject matter like a pro. This is so you understand and don't just regurgitate what the book or notes say.

Interesting readings. Do readings before you come to class so you know what she is lecturing about. She says you don't have to come to class, but you do if you want to know what is going on (e.g. have your own notes instead of relying on someone else). 5 multiple choice, computerized tests and a group project.

Her quizzes dont match anything found in her notes or lectures, she says they are meant to make you think like an Anthropoligist. Read the books and show up to most of the lectures and you will do fine, if you are not fairing so well...make sure you do really well on the group project.

1.writing assignments graded for grammar over content 2.exams - she says dont need to know all the details but you do - she lies, it's all on the exam 3.her grading is ridiculous 4.she's on a power trip in class - out of class she is very nice -- she is nice and it is her first year, but her class was tougher than it needed to be

She did a very good job at explaining the content and had a sense of enthusiasm when she taught. I would take another class with her. She openly welcomes many questions in class. The answers will really show her intellectual muscule

tests were very easy if you went to class. you also got like 20 points just for showing up, and could drop a test, so an easy A

Helpful if you talk to her. Easy in my opinion, got an easy A, but others thought she was hard. Grade came from 4 tests, all curved, and a final paper, not hard at all.

Okay teacher and interesting material, but very hard to understand sometimes (talks 100 miles/hour) and grading system very vague (especially on the 'lab' project (which sucked).

Very clear, great teacher. Understanding and gives some leeway. ALWAYS CURVES TESTS! There were only 4 real grades, though

she is a very good teacher but her tests come strictly from her notes and from the web reader so attendin her class is a must; but for the tests, she gives out a study guide which practically is the test. one just has to work a little extra to do well.
