Comment:

Dr. Dawson is the sweetest man and he really cares about your success. His class is basically just lectures, so make sure you take good notes. The only grades are exams and a lab exam, but he does makes study guides which are almost identical to the exams. If you study those, then you should do well.

He gives amazing lectures. His notes are very organized. He is very open to questions and/or concerns you might have and makes sure you understand something before moving on. His labs are always very well organized. Just don't cheap out... BUY THE BOOK!

Comment:

Tests and labs can be difficult if you don't put a lot of time into it, but if you are willing to work for it, an A is very plausible. He does have a very dry sense of humor and his lectures can be boring, but they are easy and good to use for studying. A lot of memorization for both tests and lab practicals. Overall, a good class to take.

Not a bad professor, but it was hard to stay awake during lectures-he just reads off the powerpoint. It's not a difficult course (Bio 126 & 126), as long as you apply yourself just a little bit.

Great class, some tests are challenging but the final for bio 125 is really easy, for bio 126 take pictures of the dissection to use as a study guide. he has a dry sense of humor.

Comment:

I like anatomy so I thought this class was easy. Attendance is mandatory but I wouldn't recommend missing anyway. The study guides tell you exactly what is going to be on the test and if you have any questions he'll help you out. Make flash cards! Also labs helped make everything make more sense. Lots of notes, but nothing truly "hard"

The class is pretty easy, but kinda dry and boring. He just reads off of the power points. He gives the test questions before the test, so overall the class is extremely easy. The average test score is like 95% or something crazy like that. Take him if you want an A!!!!

He was an extremly good professor. There is a lot of memorizing in anatomy and physiology and yet when he put the concepts together I understood them really well. The labs were interesting and the practicles were harder than the exams. Just make sure you understand the definitions.

Dr. D is an awesome professor. He is very approachable and an all around great guy. I agree he does sound like Kermit but you get over it after a while. I can't wait till next semester to finish out my A & P class with him. Great Professor once again!!!

Brilliant teacher, with such technical material he makes it easy to understand and learn. Has a good sense of humor and is personable. You learn a great deal, all his tests are fill-in, and you have to study to get a good grade.

Sounds like kermit, has some decent jokes, but some are corney. Very friendly, and quite precise and clear. The class is very technical with terminology.
