He is a GREAT old gentleman. British accent, decent clothes, always looks like an old royal member. I like him. Although his class was a little boring, he was doing his best and the grade was fair.Have a good retired life Prof Hillman!

Seeing this old dinosaur at the podium for the past 4 years has been a pleasure. His firm figure coupled with his delectable old little man british accent has been most enjoyable. I LOVE YOU HILLMAN. AND I WILL MISS YOU. SORRY TO SEE YOU LEAVE.

First off, Hillman's lectures are simply him reading off a powerpoint he posts on coursesite. A lot of people just leave after attendance is taken, since he is simply oblivious to what's happening around him. On the upside, the homework is quite light, and the tests are easy, so the class is actually not that bad.

I have mixed feelings about Hillman. His lectures can be insanely boring, yes, but his exams aren't that bad, and he's a decent guy. He is also extremely gullible, and by extension (if you have no conscience like me and are a good liar), extremely lenient. You really have no choice but to take him at some point, so make the best of it.

Having lived through the time computer science was invented, Hillman does know quite a lot which is why I guess the CSE dept has him teach like half of the CSE courses. Very friendly, kind and understanding professor, but insanely boring lectures and hard exams.

Very unexciting lectures as you first follow the posted slides in the dark room and then highlights the day with some examples and questions are not really answered. Rather generous grading and some problems were mildly interesting.

If you're a person who likes both math and puzzles, then you'll do fine in this class. Yes, this professor has bad presentation skills in class, but he was helpful during office hours when I was confused with concepts. The homework, the class examples, and the sample midterms were what led you to doing well on the actual midterms. I would say I had

Extremely boring. Lectures not neccesary to pass class, but attendance is manditory. To his credit, the book + homework he chooses is interesting enough. And to be fair I can't imagine anyone being able to make this class fun and interesting via lectures. He grades pretty easily as well. Tons of partial credit.

This is clearly the worst Professor at Lehigh University. How he's still here teaching is beyond me. I'm in his class right now writing this and let me tell you, for the 3rd time having him (not my choice), it's only gotten worse, if thatseven possible. Do whatever you can to avoid him AT ALL COSTS!!!

First Test: Joke, Second Test: Even easier, Final (30% of semester): absolutely impossible. Went from a solid A to a C+ from the final. Homework hard but if you can do it at all you will destroy the first two tests. Monotone, impossible to get a clear answer, just recently learned how to use the backspace key...and he's teaching computer science!

I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was a good professor in his prime. Unfortunately, he's WAY past his prime. He has a lot of trouble hearing, and doesn't explain concepts clearly. I strongly believe he's in the early stages of Alzheimer's or dimentia. Hopefully he'll retire soon. His voice? Monotone Oxford English. Enjoy! :-P

Can't hear his mumbling past the front row... and answers to any questions you have takes the longest time. Nice guy (apparently knows his stuff), but can't teach or be heard for that matter.
