This man is an angel that needs to be protected. It can be hard to pick up on all the information he says in lecture but he is so wise and helpful if you are struggling

Comment:

I love Dr. Kelley! The only way to get the information for the tests is too show up to class and take good notes, but the lectures are interesting. You also get the essay questions for the tests like two weeks in advance. If you show up, take good notes, and study the bare minimum then the class will be fine!

He is super nice, but his lectures are painfully boring and all over the place. You have to come and pay very close attention to do well. But, it's so confusing and boring that paying attention is almost impossible. No powerpoint, no blackboard. The tests are three essays, he gives you the prompts but it's unclear what he wants. DON'T DO IT

There's only 3 grades in this class, and they are essay tests. Sounds scary, but he gives you the prompts beforehand for planning. Just use specifics from his lectures in your essays; he's not a difficult grader at all. He lectures without a powerpoint and doesn't use blackboard.

Dr. Kelley is knowledgeable in his field, but talks about things that don't make any sense at times. He is very difficult to follow he talks the entire class period with no power points. If you're a visual or hands on learner do not take this class. Theres only 3 grades that are three in class essays. Take good notes!

Comment:

While attendance isn't required you better go or have someone you're close with who takes really great notes. That being said, he is my favorite educator I have ever had. I can't wait to take more of his classes, he makes class interesting and fun; when teaching he gives hypothetical situations to help make sense of what is being taught.

i have taken him twice and i think he is awesome, he really makes you think and wants to see that you have been paying attention to him in class on his tests he loves russia and loves to talk about history and politics

Mr. Kelley is a really nice and funny guy, but not the best for nonPLSC/HIST majors. He just stands at the front of the room and talks, no PowerPoints or written notes to copy. You will fail if you don't go to class and listen intently. There's 4 written exams, they're fairly easy and he grades generously, but preparing for them sucks.

Comment:

Donald Kelley is a very sweet old man who is very enthusiastic about PLSC. His exams are ALL based on his lectures but he is very easy to follow and understand in class. He doesn't use powerpoint or write things down often, but overall he is one of the best profs. I've had here at Arkansas. Easy A if you can take notes and generally pay attention.

10/10 Would recommend Dr. Kelley's class, there were only 3 test that were worth 1/3 of the class grade each. He didn't take attendance and graded tests pretty easily and passed out possible questions a week before. I would recommend coming to class because tests are over lectures. Don't buy the book, we never used it.

Dr. Kelley's tests are based solely on his lectures so if you go to class and write everything down you definitely don't need the book. He likes to make jokes and go off on tangents and sometimes his lectures aren't very clear. He is an easy grader, just go to class and take notes and you will get an A. Don't buy the book unless you skip class alot

Dr. Kelley is the best professor I've had at UARK. His lectures were interesting and he really knows what he's talking about. He is very accessible and helpful. There are three essay exams and you get the questions beforehand so as long as you have detailed notes you'll be fine. I recommend this class for any political science major!

Go to class, take decent notes, and you will pass. There are only 3 grades, which are all essay tests. He gives you the possible questions a week before the exam and you get one of the questions randomly. Just study your notes, be prepared, and you will pass. Great teacher, very relatable.

Super cool professor who none stops talk about Russia. There are three tests throughout the course with no final. You have to go to class to hear the lectures because that is what the tests are made of. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. He gives you lots of potential test questions before the test and you will get one of those questions for the test.

He was a great teacher. His life is super interesting and relatable to international relations. He is an easy grader. Just beware that he has no technology and just shows up and sits down and starts talking and you have to take notes that way.

Easiest class I've ever taken. 3 essay tests, go to class and you will get all the material you need. He preaches about getting the book in the beginning of the semester, but you won't need it at all.

Comment:

One of my favorite professors I've had. Kelley is very knowledgable and funny. He tries very hard to make sure his students understand the material. He doesn't take attendance, but there is no powerpoint or blackboard so you need the notes. Tests are easy and there is no other homework.
