Comment:

Sue Hutchinson is AMAZING! She was very intimidating the first day but she turned into one of the best professors I have ever had. Her class is imperative for becoming a teacher and she cares so much about her students futures. She is willing to help as long as you try your hardest and prove to her you've got what it takes. TAKE HER for this class!

Comment:

She is such a sweet lady and knows so much! She definitely taught me a lot for my future career as teacher. She may come off a bit intimidating at first - but she is far from that! She is genuinely interested in making sure you learn and succeed as a teacher!

This woman is a peach!! Yes she is soft spoken and can be somewhat boring at times but she loves what she does and really does care about her students. She is very willing to help you in anyway you can. I feel like I learned the most about ECED from her class!

One of the best professors I've had at JMU. Her class was extremely helpful and fun. She's pretty tough because she expects a lot out of you, but she's also very understanding and easy to talk to when you're overwhelmed.

TAKE HER! She is one of the most wonderful professors I have ever had. While she does require a lot of us, remember that sem.1 is the toughest. She is always more than willing to help out and is great to talk to when you just have a bad day. She is so compassionate about children and absolutely loves her students (us!). She's an amazing teacher!

I started out rocky in Sue's class. I did an assignment wrong and got a bad grade. I proved myself to her though, by re-doing it, and she really respected me for it, and it made for a good semester. I think that she knows a lot about children and has lots of experience with them. Class does get a tad boring from time to time because she is pretty quiet, but she really wants you to understand the material and be a good teacher.

She's very quiet, which can bore you for a 3 hour class. There are a couple of workshops that make the class worthwhile. It's an easy class if you put effort into it.

Nice woman, but not fun to listen to for a 3 hour class. She bores me quite often and I feel like her opinion is what she teaches off of a lot of times. She should go to back to teaching preschool. One plus to her class, she takes your class to Pizza Hut for a field trip:)

quiet and not enthusiastic enough for three hour classes...doesn't explain assignments well but you can redo them...picks her pets and sticks with them the entire semester, get on her good side and you're fine
