She is the BESTTT english professor in the world!! I took her for ENG99 as my second and last attempt and i passed the writing sample and the Compass with 97 outa 64!! She helped me alott, she knows everybody's weaknesses in writing and try to improve it. She gives 6 essays with the final, and few easy grammar quizzes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :)

Even though Mrs Thornton didnt teach African American Lit:), Im very pleased I stayed in her class. Mrs Thornton's class was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and has a passion for what she teaches. The extra credit was great. If you COME TO CLASS and DO THE READING, you will pass. This was truely a great learning experience!!

She is a fantastic teacher. she is always very helpful and willing to assist. She breaks down the topics so they are comprehendable. And her African American Literature class rocks! Read the required literature and attend class for a solid grade. Dr. Thornton makes this class worth taking. A true jewel in the teaching field.

TAKE HER! She's super sweet and her class is eAsY!!! Six essays, including the final essay, are 70% of the final grade, while grammar quizzes and an oral presentation count for 30%. The topics for the essays are actually interesting and fun! I definitely recommend her.
