I missed 2 classes & 2 homeworks but even then I did all the other projects and homeworks & I ended up failing his class. He told us 15% of our grade was based on his opinion of us as an engineer. All this for a 1 credit class. Horrible teacher.

I took him for physics 101 summer course and I would not recommend taking him at all. He is very inconsiderate when it comes to giving work. He gave us two labs with the same due date knowing the next day we had a test and our homework was due giving us no time to study at all. He also degrades students for asking questions making them feel bad

Im taking an introductory course to engineering and he doesnt teach anything. Im not even kidding. The few things hes attempted to teach so far is lost on me because he expects you to know physics before you take his class (which I dont). All he does is gives multiple projects then grades them. No teaching at all

He's a good man and professor. Easy A if you hand in all of your assignments and aren't habitually late. Pay attention to details with assignments and projects. He's also helpful when it comes to advice for any random college stuff; classes to take, scholarships you can get ... etc

Had to retake physics over the summer. Coming from that mess, Prof Kitay was like a dream. Grading is very straightforward, and if you put in the work, you'll get rewarded. Easy tests and grades gently. Oh, but READ THE TEXTBOOK! You'll do yourself a favor, he loves that. Also, he bought us bagels during the last week of the summer session! :D

Toke Kitay in Summer I and he's great! Homework counts for 10% of your grade and it's online and lets you try without penalty until you get it right. Make sure you're labs are neat (he will take off point if they're not.) Other than that, tests are easy (only 3 problems and one problem is usually a repeat from a previous test)

Professor Kitay is a great teacher if you are actively involved in the class and put work into your groups. If you don't put in work, your group members will call you out on it, because your grades depend on the work you actually do for the class. The only bad thing about Kitay is that he is sarcastic without emotion, so he sounds mean to some.

Prof. Kitay plays favorites; why else would 10% of your grade be class participation? He doesn't want to teach; he wants to be a control freak & act like we're in grade school instead of college. I truly believe that if he wasn't friends with the Department Chair, he'd have been let go years ago. Nassau has such great professors - except this guy.

Terrible. He's obnoxious and constantly loses his temper when you don't understand his lightening speed instructions. He'll just say you were playing around. He constantly assumes that you've taken physics and CAD classes which half the class has not. Make sure you know those things if you attend his class. oh and he seems like he can go postal!

Teaches material slowly in the first week or two. Then zooms through material in warp speed until all the students are utterly confused. Teaches new material up until the day before the final and includes it on the final. The last regular exam is extremely hard and the final exam is utterly ridiculous. No exam curves. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

Very difficult subject but everything is very clearly explained during lecture. Homework is an easy contributor to a good grade, as its all online (shows answers). Must Attend class. No doubt about it. He makes it clear first day he is able to bump up your grade if you try. so do so. Also, he will always help 1 on 1 anytime. recommended!
