She was a great person and hilarious but her teaching style was not my thing. She did not take many grades and did not enter them so I had no idea where I stood. She was the type to look deep into stories and I like the bigger picture. You will be expected to read a novel in five days, just bottom line, there's a lot of reading. Also, go to class.

Erin is an amazing professor, to say the very least. Unlike a lot of professors I've had at SIUC, she genuinely wants her students to do well and teaches the course in a way to promote student success. Her only flaw is that her paper guidelines are a little bit fuzzy, but as long as effort is put forth, your grade will be fine.

Erin was awesome. For once in my life I actually enjoyed going to English class. Not only was she very intelligent, but she was very down to earth. I had her for engl 290 which isn't exactly an easy class, but well worth it.

I absolutely loved Erin and her class. She is an extremely intelligent person and really makes class enjoyable. I'm a science major, but Erin made this class really interesting to me and was always available if I had any questions. Just do the work and you'll do fine.

One of my favorite teachers in college. She genuinely cares about her students and literature. She was passionate about what she taught and she really wanted her students to incorporate the literature to their personal lives. She is strict on attendance but her class is so good that its the students' loss that misses her class.

Wonderful teacher. She really wants you to walk away from this class learning something about yourself and the world around you.
