Hard but fair. Hessling is a teacher like no other. I recommend anyone to have a conversation with her. She knew the world and back. An amazing teacher and she will be missed. R.I.P.

Very strict on attendance although she does not make it mandatory. If you have a medical excuse for your absence you are going to have to fight for that absence not to count against you. The material was interesting, she definitely has favorites so don't be surprised if she calls on the same people. Class participation is part of the grade.
