Mark is a good teacher who expects you to put in the work to get the grade you want. Anatomy itself is a hard class with the numerous models you have to learn. Do not procastinate or you will feel overwhelmed at some point. The lecture part of his class is more difficult than the practical so when studying, read between the lines.

Mark provides you with all the materials you need to succeed; it is up to you to utilize them. He gives clear chapter outlines that gives an overview of what you need to know for tests. Tests are never more than what he prepares you for. If you are struggling, he checks in to see what you need help with. He keeps lectures fun and students engaged.

Mr. Labarge is very serious about attendance and putting in the work for a good grade in the class. The people who tended not to like him, didn't show up too much and didn't have the best grade. He really cares about what he teaches and will go out of his way to help you! He loves seeing students in the SRC and open lab. He gives good notes as well

When I started this class, it didn't seem so bad. But as the semester went by, we had about 10 people drop the class. If that doesn't tell you something, I don't know what does!! His tests are MASSIVE. There are way too many models to memorize but then don't forget that the lecture parts of the exams are almost harder than the practicals. DON'T!!

Mark is amazing! Anatomy is very hard and this class does go very fast paced but if you put in the time, study every day and come to class and take good notes you will be fine! he gets upset and isnt afraid to voice it when students do poorly on tests or quizzes, but overall is very nice and cares about how his students do. GO TO CLASS.

Hardest Professor I have had by far. Shoves all the material thats needed to know in a span of months all into one unit and puts it into one huge very hard test. Hours in the src and open lab and didn't even do as good as I hoped. He's a nice guy but just expects you to know way too much. One of the hardest science class I have taken here at JCCC.

Great teacher! very clear about what we will be tested on and even provides excellent study guides. DON'T PROCRASTINATE and go to the SRC! Half the exams are practicals so you have to know the names of parts. Other teachers do their practicals as multiple choice which im sure is easier but Mark makes sure you know your stuff!

Mr. Labarge teaches by going through lecture notes and explaining anatomical models. His tests are very specific. To receive an A in this class, you need to spend several hours a week in the SRC or the Anatomy lab going through the models. This is the hardest science class I have ever taken.

I really liked taking Professor Labarge's Human Anatomy class. I learned so much and feel like I am an expert now in the subject. He tries hard to teach and help the students who have a passion for the subject or want to do good in the class understand the lecture/models.

Great teacher! He makes every concept understandable, and really puts effort into his lectures. Anatomy is a pretty hard class in general, so don't expect an easy A. The exams are difficult, but you're given a study guide for each unit with the relevant terms and identifications.

Be prepared to MASTER every subject in this course. I HIGHLY recommend getting the hard copy textbook along with the connect code for the online book. The online book website is very hard to navigate and a pain in the you-know-what to use. The "LearnSmart" activities are super time consuming and I hated doing them.

I LOVED him! He is very quirky, but he is amazing at answering questions if you have any. GO TO CLASS. The notes taken in class are HUGE on TESTS. Another thing is when you have the packets STUDY THE STUDY GUIDE AT THE END. Almost all of those are on the tests. Also, I recommend the anatomy color book - take your time and study!!!

Amazing professor. Anatomy is a hard class no matter where and who you take it with. Obviously you have to spend hours outside of class to do well. Professor Lafarge gives outlines and objectives that clearly say what you need to know for his tests. The tests are very fair and pertain to the lectures. Read, review, study and you will succeed.

Mark is great at lecturing, as he puts things in a perspective you can understand. Anatomy is hard to begin with, but Mark's tests are pretty hard, and thats what most of your grade depends on. I wouldn't steer anyone away from him bc I know he'll better prepare you for other classes like physiology and make things easier in the long run.

I've always done extremely well in any courses like this except for LaBarge's class. I went to the SRC, talked to him multiple times outside of class, and studied for hours on end by myself and still did bad. He tries to embarrass students when they say something he doesn't like, EXTREMELY picky grader. Staying away from him as much as possible!

This is the professor you want for Anatomy!!!!! He is lighthearted and genuine. His unit packets outline everything you will need to know for the class. He won't expect you to know anything that isn't explicitly specified, so there is no guess work. This class requires time. Look over the info daily and you will succeed.

Good teacher, not perticular the friendliest. Its ananomy so of course the class is hard but its not hard to get a good grade if you put in the work. 9 exams including the final, 1 quiz per unit and 1 hw packet per unit( really easy all the answers are in the book).

LaBarge is clearly very passionate about what he teaches. He gets pretty upset when students don't show up for class or don't do well on quizzes or tests. He can make snide comments about how people need to study more, but I think it's because he cares about how his students do. You do have to put a lot of study time into this class.
