Enjoyed class even though it went on line with the virus stuff. Power points were good and his audio helpful. In class lectures were interesting. He tries to bring topics like ecology, physiology and biochemistry together. Explains topics in ways that students can understand them. Recommend.

DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR BIOLOGY ! PLEASE TAKE ANYONE ELSE. He was extremely unorganized, did not know what he was doing. You will pass the class based on your work ethic and the professor ! I literally failed because of him. Dont take him !

I deeply enjoyed his biology class. He always came to the plate (not the dinner plate) and showing up to class with a smile on your face. He is a very passionate professor who has revived my passion for Biology even though this semester was disrupted.

I wanted to thank him for his valuable time, and for your passionate spirit over the topic you teach. He is such a wonderful, spirited professor, and I wanted tot hank him so much for making a topic that Im not too fond of, personally- pretty interesting. You are one of the greatest professors. Comment:

Really nice and funny person, but not tech-savvy enough to work with students at ALL over the computer. Makes up his own rules as he goes literally up to the day of, sometimes hours before the exam. He doesn't actually take attendance and doesn't make you read. Makes things as easy as but has no perspective on what trying to learn from him is like.

Terrible professor, asked if I could get midterm excused since my brother's wedding was the same day, he agreed and ended up still failing me for the midterm with no chance or offer of retaking it or dropping it even though his syllabus said otherwise. Also does terrible in class drawings that have no resemblance to the topic. Waste of time/money

Really interested in the subject matter and really enjoyed learning how animals are adapted to their environment. His class and the Zoology class that Ive taken are the two most interesting (to me) that Ive taken so far. His class helped me focus on what I want to do after I graduate. Highly recommend.

Prof Horne taught only through powerpoint lectures. Had 3 tests and a Final, no dropped tests. Uses a hearing aide so have to shout so he hears you. Typical old white dude mentality. Both his study guides and tests can have pretty egregious spelling and grammar errors. But he curves the test grades like a madman.

You will be confused the entire semester about what is going on but he gives test reviews that are exactly like the test. There are online GECC assignments that aren't a grade but will add points to the cumulative 130 question final. Overall 3 tests about 80 Qs each & a cumulative final.

Dr. Horne made ecological physiology engaging and challenging to a group of students with a variety of backgrounds, for this, I thank him.. I'll make sure not to "stand there like a toadstool" and let my life slap me around when challenges present themselves. Enjoyable class.

Fun class, smiling often. I in looked forward coming to class and never .understood way so many were absent. Introduces current issues and how DNA used is used in medicine and solving crimes. Seeks questions and interaction with students. Take!

I learned a great deal in this class and I got an A. He is a great professor. I recommend him for any one who wants to come to class and learn biology; be respectful and not talk in class. Related current events to biology. If you do not come to class for lectures and depend only on powerpoints, your grade will suffer.

Prof. Horne was a sweet man but this was so unorganized. Lectures are long and scattered & he goes back and forth on PowerPoints that make no sense. He did care about our understanding of the subject, but it was hard to grasp the content. 3 exams and the cumulative final were the only grades. Again he was a very nice guy but I would not take again.

professor Horne is such a good professor and he really cares for his students. If you dont go to class you lose the opportunity for him to know you. He will stay after class to answer any questions and help on the reviews. If you put in the effort he will make an effort to help you.
