Comment:
One of the best math professors I've taken. His lectures can be a little bit unorganized but his expectations are very clear and will always give you a very good idea of what to expect on exams. Math classes, by nature can be a little tedious but he does a good job of keeping it entertaining and at times even fun.

Although Donovan is smart and nice he is a horrible teacher. He doesn't explain things well at all, is extremely unorganized, and is ready to retire therefore not very willing to get to know his students and work with them. He also messed up my final grade. He gave me an F but when I asked him about he said I should have gotten a B. Do Not Take him

This professor is extremely confusing due to his writing on the board. He is 70 years old and has lost interest in teaching. When you ask him a question, he rarely understands it. He does, however, genuinely care about his student's success. I did not care for his teaching style. If you can take another professor, I would recommend it.

Donavon dispelled all fears I had of Calculus. I have always been decent at math, but struggled with other teachers at Metro. With Donavon this was not the case, I excelled in Calculus with his expertise and straight forward way of getting us the information we need. Highly recommended for students who care. He is very willing to help and reexplain

The guy is nice and knowledgeable. He even tells jokes during class when he can sense the material is getting to heavy. I would definitely recommend him. Calculus is always tough. Just do your homework and ask for help when you need it and you will do fine here. Also always check your tests for stupid errors. Good Luck

I highly disagree with the other ratings. He is useless as a teacher. If you ask a question, he'll start answering, start writing, then completly forget what the question is. He is very spacey. Maybe its CALC III's fault, but he didn't actually explain a single thing. Classtime is useless, I was better served to just read the book to teach myself.

The best Calc II professor I could ask for! I struggled in Calc I with a different prof and was nervous I'd struggle but he makes it click! I would recommend him to everyone. I will be taking him again for Calc 3!

He's a funny guy and good teacher, but a little spacey. He messed up on my final grade and it took me a while to get it fixed. Im sure that is very rare though.

He tells positive stories about women in math. I highly recommend him for female students. The class is hard, but at least the negative emotional baggage isn't there to further weigh down what is already a tough subject. Strict in the fair way.

Best Math Teacher at Metro. Great attitude towards math. Very helpful with students on questions. Delighted if people are interested in math. Motivation stayed high, so people did extra homework that wasn't even assigned.
