I loved professor Downing's class. I took it about a decade ago and loved how he used text-to-world connections with each class. He really helped you learn through his stories. His teachings have helped me do the same with my students in second grade. He was a great influence on me as an educator.

Professor Downing was probably one of the best teachers i have ever had. He makes this class so interesting and his stories are great. There is though alot of reading but it isnt that bad.But otherwise I looked forward to this class every week. I wish more teachers were like him!

Not "easy" by any stretch, but you will learn a lot. You'd better like to read... You do sometimes just have to "do" his assignments and not over analyze, he'll explain it all later. Helpful, insightful, witty. You'll get a lot of good
