Comment:

Solid choice for this class. He truly cares about his student's work although the grading is a bit unclear at times. Was nice working with outside clients because it prepared us for the outside world. Just wish there was a bit more structure in the class. At times I felt as though we weren't doing anything.

Choose another professor for this class. Very unclear grading structure. Constantly reassured that work is good but grade never reflected it. He would always take off points without clear reasoning as to why. Lectures are dry and boring and for the most part not relevant to the project we work on. The entire class is one big project.

If you give him your time, don't expect for him to return the favor. Unclear, boring, not approachable instructor. Grading is very questionable; grades are posted less then a week before the end of semester, everything is in the quiet. His response - "Check back in Sakai". Never again, nor do I recommend!

Just don't. His lectures are the same every time and on top of that attendance is required. Group projects are the whole class. The lectures are unnecessary. Most if not all topics were covered in databases with Jukic.

A really nice and funny professor. Tries his best to make the class interesting and makes sure he comes up with examples that students can relate to. If you go through the checkpoints in the book and show up to class, the tests are a breeze. I would definitely recommend taking him!

He is a super nice guy and loves teaching. However, his class is kind of boring! Class isn't mandatory (usually about 25 out of 60 showed up), but I rarely skipped. His tests are pretty tough, so do ALL of the extra credit posts on Blackboard. I got an A, but it took a lot of studying!

He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is extremely nice and extremely helpful. He makes everything easy to learn and interesting. He knows a lot about the world of business too. I would definitely recommend taking him for any class.

I would not take Professor Hidding again. The 2nd half of classes felt very disjointed. In one class we spent 90 minutes customizing a Caterpillar machine, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and booking a flight on Orbitz. Waste of time. This was a very unfocused class that I did not enjoy. The midterm quiz and final test are not tough, just study.

hes a really nice teacher. i highly recomend him. his test are a little hard but he grades easily. he has some classes where you dont come and "study" at your dorm or wherever you are living. attendence isnt manditory but i would recomend going to all the classes, it makes the test a lot easier and he will most likely boost your grade up a letter

Great guy, decent professor. If you know anything about computers etc. then take this class. a 50/50 between excel and the text book. I never studied once and I got a B in the class so if you studied for an hour or two a week it should be an easy A. Gives study guide. very helpful. I spent most of my time in class on facebook. i'd take him!

Really nice guy. Class is not mandatory. Half of the class is excel (done at your own computer at your own pace) and half is textbook. The tests are challenging but there is lots of extra credit. Great class to take!

He is a very nice man; however, he would be a lot better at teaching a class of a smaller size. Our Class was around 100 people and I don't think he was able to handle that many people. If it's a small class, take him for sure! Large, I would avoid.

Very nice guy. Very bad professor. He does give study guides for his exams, but even if you study those, the test are still very difficult. 50% excel, 50% book. He basically tells you the 1st day if you have something better to do, class is not necessary. Very nice man, but would not recommend his class. Lots of extra credit.

He is a nice guy, but I don't recommend him. The excel part was easy and it was kind of fun. The other part of the class when we work with the textbook was A LOT harder. I studied a ton, and what he told us to study and I didn't get higher than a C and I am an A student.

Hidding is a really nice guy but this class is horrible. The lectures are worthless...in other words don't bother going to class. Tests are ridiculously hard but he does give acceptable amount of extra credit and curves the class a little. Expect a B+ to an A- if you are a good test taker

Hidding is a really good guy. It was hard for me to take away alot from lecture so it was a good thing he gave a study guide. dont bet on an A if all you do is fill out the study guide and memorize it, he likes to throw some curveballs in on the multiple choice. What threw me off is that he is so nice but he has some really hard tests.

Best professor I have had so far at Loyola. He is here because he loves to teach. You have to study hard for the tests to get an A, but you will learn a lot. If you just want to just to get a grade without ever studying or learning anything take a different prof. Otherwise take him!
