If you're not too confident in math before this class, DO NOT take this professor. Her accent is very thick and she expects you to already know majority of the material before taking the class, so actually learning from her is a hassle. Had to teach myself from the book. And still dropped the class. Only take her if you are excellent in math.

Comment:

She's difficult to understand but fair.If you show your work but get the answer wrong,she'll give you majority of the credit. She only uses the book 3 times and that's before each test, she'll show you what review questions to do. Test are nothing like the HW,easier. Talk to her after class and show her you're working and she'll boost your grade.

I liked her. She was funny. Her work isn't hard as long as you study. Her accent is okay, penmanship isn't all that good, but she was a good teacher. Lots of online hw, quizzes are online, and she has 4 tests throughout the semester. I would definitely recommend her.

Comment:

She has a very thick accent but she does get her points across. There is a bunch of online hw and quizzes and they aren't very tough. She gives a review assignment before every test and if you know how to do the reviews you'll do fine on the tests. Easy class.

There's a language barrier at first, but after a few classes she becomes easier to understand. Prof. Zhang is a nice lady. She writes everything on the board, so even if you can't understand what she's saying, you can read it. Homework and quizzes are online (really easy). The tests are exactly like the homeworks and quizzes. Super easy class.

Very good professor. Accent is easy to understand. As long as you attend class and make an effort she will help you in any way possible. Works through step by step and is always willing to answer questions. Easy homework and TONS of extra credit. I will take her for any other math class that i can.

Horrible teacher! Missed a quiz because I was sick, contagious, and told by the health center to stay out of class untill I got better, so I asked to make up. She would not allow me to even though I had a note. Every second I spent in her class was sheer torture. And the lady really needs to learn english...

Prof Zhang is a very caring woman who has a passion for math. Before every exam, she good-heartedly says, "Try to enjoy test." :] Although she has a thick accent, she means well and is very helpful if you seek out her help and ask questions. All homework other than test review is online. I got an A!

I thought this class was easy. If you pay attention you can understand what she's saying. Many people think this is a class they can just sit in and get an easy A. Honestly if you do the homework you can easily get an A. If you need help ask someone who understands her accent. She is actually very helpful you just have to get past the thick accent.

I loved Pro. Zhang! GREAT teacher! Her accent was very easy for me to understand, just because I used to work in a Chinese restaraunt, but a lot of other people did seem to have trouble with it. As far as the actual math, if you actually try to understand and do your work, you're perfectly ok. I would definitely recommend her. She taught me a lot.

To be honest, any one that has anything to say about this woman as a math teacher is just someone disgruntled who thought they'd slip through with out doing the work. She's not hard to understand if you're actually attentative and trying to learn, and I'm TERRIBLE with thick accents. Do the online homework & come to class- you'll get an easy A.

There is a language barrier at first, but after a couple days she is easily understood. She writes everything on the board. She was one of my favorite teachers because 1. She only uses relevant online math problems(8 per part) and 2. On tests she gives you points when you have most problem steps right. Go to class, do all online math. I got an A!!

Only take this professor if you can teach yourself online. The only way that I managed to do well in the class was by completely ignoring everything she said and teaching myself with the online math book. She is very hard to understand because there is a huge language barrier. If you take her buy the online book!!

Although you may be subject to lots of immaturity from others,this is really an easy class.Her teaching style is clear(even w/language barrier),she's not very friendly but makes an occasional joke (which were funny).Hard grader,attendance mandatory,no curves, but tests were easy and so were homework. Go to class, finish the work and it's an easy A.

This class was seriously the easiest class I have ever taken. I came out with a 98 and i did not study once. She teaches you slope for god's sake. She doesn't know english that well, but she writes every single word out of her mouth on the board. Attendance is mandatory but if you know someone in the class...they can just sign you in.
