Comment:

Her lectures were very "all over the place", when she did stick to a subject, she would drone on it. I can tell that she is a highly intelligent person, however her overwhelming disorganization prevented her from showing this. She lost multiple assignments of mine and she takes a long time to give assignments back. Do not rely on the syllabus.

Comment:

She might seem scatterbrained but really she's a highly intelligent, creative and inspiring instructor. She makes the class load light so you can focus on assignments. I took PSE, Narr Thinking and a methods class with her. I enjoyed all of the assignments and the readings were cool.Always available to help you out. And her outfits are rad.

It was an interesting class. When you take it, make sure you have a lot of free time to do field work outside of class. I had her for academic writing first year, and I wasn't sure how to feel about her. But after I took this class, I realized how cool she is. She is a really fair marker and she takes the time to meet with you and help you.

I am not pleased with this class so far. I find her to be very scattered and unprepared. All lessons are taken straight from the text. Direction in class is very confusing and often useless. Everything I've learned so far has been straight from the book, as she confuses issues and her circular way of speaking is off track.

IS A DITZ. not really into the work is very out of it and jumps around way too much. fairly easy if you do what she says. VERY VERY boring class treats you like you are in highschool, which for me was a good thing as a transition into first year uni.

Narrative writing and thinking: this class does not live up to it's name, I learned nothing, we had to read too much stuff so that we never got to fully understand even one of the pieces we read. I would not recommend this course if you want to learn about the subject, but if you want an easy class, this would be the one

AW: HUMANITIES. Yeah, the subject matter is a bit dry, but it's a required. I thought JMR did a really great job of teaching this class- she was engaging, clear, helpful, and approachable. I went into the class thinking it would be a major waste of time, but I actually came out having learned a lot.

The title of this class hsould have been changed to self-directed writing. Professor McLeod was unhelpful and her classes were disorganized and off-topuc. Half of the class topped attending by the third week and most dropped it by mid-term.

This prof had a passion for and certainly knew what she was talking about. Too bad for her many people are so ignorant they do not appreciate her subject. She was always willing to help and if truly needed put some people in their place. All in all,an enjoyable class with one hot prof!

Very nice lady. The only first year prof who would see me and say hi in the hallway. Class=very boring. The stuff she went over we should all know by now anyway. Really, 2-3 weeks on fragment sentences? Oh well, it was an easy A.

She isn't a bad teacher, I find the class really boring but that is because it's Academic Writing. She is really helpful and approachable, although sometimes it's tough to follow her in class. She looks for certainthings in your writing so listen up! I would recommend taking this class with her.

For a class I was not looking forward to I was pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up enjoying it. I find it very helpful. The prof is a wonderful lady who takes the time and effort to help the students who are willing to do the same.

BEYOND boring. class is a waste of time. she takes a dry subject and teaches it in the most droaning redundant way. For a english teacher, she should learn how to read out loud. awful. just awful. if it wasn't required i'd drop it.
