Sue was a delightful teacher and friend. She was always very open-ended with her assignments and loved to see students give their own take on papers and projects. She is too nice to keep true to the rules of her syllabus though, which is sad since so many students take advantage of her kindness. Expect a considerable amount of work.

Good class. Very informative, but the papers are ridiculous. I had one paper that was 27 pages once I finished. She is nice and offers help, but you have to be motivated to do well.

the best teacher i have ever had the pleasure of knowing. she genuinely cares for her students. her work is intense but in a personal way, it is basically an opinionated class that is discussion led, as long as you read you will ace the tests. and she is into cooperate with students, she let us do an extra essay instead of having multiple choice

Coan is a very nice and super laid back prof. She took class suggestions into account and revised the last two exams based on our input (making them take home essays, not in class multiple choice). The workload is easy (based on your own life) but there is a LOT of it, so be aware of the huge volume. Classes were often boring and mostly discussion.

Susan is an awesome professor! Her assignments though long are rewarding and fun. This class increased my knowledge and interest of the life span exponentially. Whether the class is required or an elective you won't regret taking it with her!

Susan Coan is an exceptional professor. One of the few professors that cares about her students input regarding the work. Projects are time consuming but if you put effort abd do the work you should do great. Very nice women and understanding. Love her and this class.

Oh man, where do I start? She is by far one of the best. A rare find that actually understands how a person learns, and works with that to achieve something meaningful in the student. The reward of the work was equal to the effort. I highly recommend.

One of the BEST teachers I've had so far at USM. She is extremely fair and understanding. She makes you do projects that are fun and easy, but time consuming. The readings and topics are interesting. Super easy to get an A. Would absolutely take a class with her again!

Human Growth and Development was awesome. She was a great teacher and she made class fun. Tests were easy if you went to class and read the book. The projects were fun and she let us be creative. If you complete everything an A shouldn't be that hard.

this class was so easy i got an A , as long as you either pay attention or read the chapters you dont even need to study for tests. great teacher didnt stress me out
