Basically learn everything yourself in the class from an easy to read text book. There is something due every other day. He was also very reasonable with giving me extra time to catch up on work after I had a death in the family.

I have not been out of school that long. However this math course was horrible. The book is not even a book it is written by another professor. What he asks you to do for tests or show works is not even examples in this written text book. So hard to follow. Since this was an online class it was very hard to actually sit down with the professor.

I hate math, seriously. I took online algebra because I didn't think I would survive in a classroom setting. Jake was awesome. The class was tough, but so easy to navigate. The work clearly matched his test questions, and there was plenty of options to get points. I easily got an A. He responded almost immediately to all questions, too.

Great Teacher. Know what he is talking about and gives great help when needed. Material was fantastic and text book used was great as well. You must read the book or else if you try to do the timed quizzes (on-line course) by flipping through the book while doing it then you won't get a good grade. I will take him again if I have the opportunity!

Jake is a really nice, funny guy. He is very clear when he is teaching and always wears different bow-ties! You make mandatory test corrections on all your tests, so make sure you do them as soon as you get them back, because if not, you will forget everything you learned and have like 5 tests to correct at the end.

I have no interest in math but at least Jake made it bearable. Really helps the students and does look out for your best interest. Class is boring but it's friggin' math, whaddya expect? Definitely take him if you're not a math person.

Jake is awesome! I had him for 2 math classes and got an A in both! I've never passed math before having him. He made class to easy to understand and fun to be in. You never wanted to miss class cuz you might miss a new bow tie!! Whatta Cutie!
