Dr. Wee's lectures are LONG! He gives you so much information within an hour and 15 minute lecture. If you haven't taken biology (not C&H) before this class, you will likely be lost. His tests are easy though.

Comment:

I loved Dr. Wee. I had him for Cells and Heredity as well ass Biology of Organisms. He is so intelligent when is comes to protists and plants, and he is very detailed on those two exams. He can be very dry, but he packs so much information into his lecture that if you miss, you will never glean the same amount of information from the text.

Comment:

Just because of the subject material, it's a pretty difficult class. However, he is pretty good at explaining concepts and what you need to know. Pretty much, KNOW ALL THE POWERPOINTS! He can ask anything from them. Use the book to clarify concepts from the Powerpoints (which can be confusing on their own). Go to class! Overall, a manageable class.

Dr. Wee is a really great person who is obviously passionate about what he does and does his best to help the students (assigning test dates that work best for students' schedules, holding exam reviews). However, his PPTs can be a bit confusing sometimes and his lecture topics tend to skip around. You'll be fine once you get used to his style!

Straight forward, nice guy. His test questions are sometimes really difficult to interpret but if you read/memorize powerpoints and read the book to connect all the ideas, it is a very do-able class.

He makes me hate bio.Bio of organisms is the most tedious class I have ever taken.His multiple choice questions are not straight forward.He doesn't even know how to write a simple chemical equation that is important to understand the blood pH.He barely reply to your emails. Unhelpful,boring.Participation pts are ridiculous.Avoid him at all cost.

He's a really nice man. I personally didnt like his teaching style making it difficult for me. I pulled through but it was a struggle. People get very frustrated with his test since the questions arent straight forward, they are about applying the material. Kinna boring but a really nice guy. Be prepared to work hard is his class.So much material!

Questions on exams come from idk where. People studied his slides and read the book and still did badly. 'A' students were failing!! Expects you to know everything, weeds you out. ***Also, he is the most UNHELPFUL man. So rude and mercyless. Should not be teaching at a Jesuit University.***

If you just memorize the powerpoints there is no way you will not get an A. A large portion of his exam is mulitple choice and then about 2-4 questions of writing out and sometimes he has diagrams. It's the same for his bio of organisms course.

Had him for cells and heredity and bio organisms and started off with low test grade in cells, then went and talked to him and very understanding and helpful.test comes strait from powerpoint, study powerpoint should get be pretty easy to get a b or c. Really liked him overall all and learned alot.

Great teacher! His quizes and exams are pretty hard, but he gives you a lot of opportunities to try to understand it by given a bunch of question and answer session before tests. Overall I'm very pleased. I'me even taking him next semester for bio or organisms

Smart guy, but hopelessly boring. He keeps you in class until the last possible second. His exams are on an insane amount of material and you have to know every detail in the power points. He does not curve at all. Class participation points do help though. His class is probably better than shuh's.

I've been in Dr. Wee's evolution class for over 2 months, and i'm still not convinced that evolution is true. He somehow made this subject a bore. I spend at least 80% of his class dozing off or surfing the internet. Avoid at all possible cost.

i took him for evolution, which is designed for non-biology majors. he made sure to keep that in mind so that nothing really went over our heads. very nice guy. attendence isn't mandatory but def. helpful. he posts the ppts so you can follow along. not too hard, but makes sure you know the material. a few papers and activities, but none too hard

Wee is a very nice man, and he really knows his stuff. His class is boring, but he tries to make it interesting. He's very helpful. I took him for Cells & Heredity and Bio of Org (easier). Know everything on your PDFs before you take the test. If you don't understand something read about it in the book. Do NOT study less than two days before exam.

in cells in heredity, he is super hard, but in biology of organisms everything becomes much easier. The great thing about his class is that he curves grades, even though he says that he doesn't, and majority of the PDFs are on the test.
