I will NEVER take a class with this teacher again. The way that she graded test resulted in my very low grade, for example, on one test I had all but one answer right yet still failed the test. Turns out that the actual right answer only counts for 20% of the problem. Im sorry, but failing a student even if they know the material? Thumbs down.

Ervin does have a attitude, but she was very easy to understand. She breaks everything down, like you're learning it for the first time. She's no non-sense, and will give you hell for not living up to your potential. She does notebook checks, and treats you like you're still in grade school. But all in all, she wasn't that bad of a teacher.

Horrible teacher! Extremely mean and vindictive. You could have EVERYTHING right in your problem but if you didn't do it in a vertical format, she marks you off! Rude too. I came in one day after a test and she said "Y'all did horrible on this test. What is the matter with you? Are y'all stupid or somethin?" I got a 106% on the test! Half failed!

Mrs. Ervin was the best Math teacher I have ever had by far! She breaks everything down for students and always allows questions but to ensure that everything is covered, she gets right to the point each class. She does not take attitude but is great at what she does! ;)

Mrs. Ervin is the most skilled instructor I've ever had ! I don't know why there are so many neg comments about her. My semester with her increased my confidence level in math. She always made herself available for tutoring in her office and she was always pleasant and patient.

The absolute worst teacher bar none. She has no tact, will enbarass you, and make you feel entirely ignorant. Her teaching skills are grade school at best. She picks every little thing apart and tests you on things shes never taught. Do Not Ever Take This Professor!!!!!!!!!!

About 7 yrs ago, I had Ms. Ervin and I had to drop the class not because she was a bad teacher, she was the Best ever. OH MY GOSH! The worst professor EVER. Worst attitude ever and sets up the rules in opposition for you to pass. Her conduct in class in rude, disrespectful and deplorable. DROP THIS CLASS IMMEDIATELY. She has a negative attitude toward teaching and her students. The only "B" I received at CPCC was from her. Got an "A" in Coll. Alg. CRAZY!

if you ever get in her class, please drop quick. she is so picky that she will count off for everything you do. if i could have gotten out of her class i would have. whoever is right---teacher from hell. by the end of the semester just about everyone quits. very loud. you will be in tears once you get a test back from her grading it. watch out

She is very loud and outspoken, but a very smart, knowlegeable, and helpful teacher. She knows her stuff and goes to great lengths to help you know it as well. She doesn't play and don't think for once you are going to run over her. It ain't happening! But she cool though.
