You get the grade you work for.... He accepted that I was terrible in his class but didn't judge me for it. He saw that I worked my butt off, and I always passed. He's not out to get you. He's just the "Bones" of the chemistry world.

His tests are impossible. When you get failing grades for all his tests, you have such high anxiety. Then at the end he factors in all this crazy extra credit that makes no sense to anyone but him. Personally, I think he passes you depending on how well he thinks you tried. Even the "smart" kids in the class got Cs on his tests. Its crazy

most students take biochem & ochem elsewhere to avoid Frye. Which raises the question why hasnt UF caught on to this? & why is this guy so hell-bent on making us HATE chemistry instead of enjoying it by giving assignments that boost grades & boost morale? Extra credit has so many stipulations its impossible to get. Nice guy awful teacher. AVOID!

Only prof for Biochem. His tests are way too long for the amount of time given and without prior experience to his tests, I had not clue how to take the effectively. However if you go to him after class for office hours, he is more than happy to help. He LOVES teaching biochem, not so much ochem. Study along with him and don't get hopes up for an A

He is the hardest teacher at the university but i think that also has to deal with what he teaches too..chemistry is hard period! You have to try your hardest. If you don't understand just go to his office and ask!! He really is a nice guy who wants to help you if you are trying. Just stick with the class and you will pass.

This class is absolutely insane. Frye is a trip and his tests are horrible. They weren't as bad when he had the explanation part- you had a better chance to get 1/2 credit. The material was hard to comprehend and I don't think the prof helped...at all.

Still the hardest teacher at the University. New written tests are a lifesaver tho. Gave only one HW.

First, u guys are complaining too much. Second, if u takes biochem at another school, u guys will see the exams are harder than Dr. Fry a lot. They expect u to know the structures. Dr. Fry doesn't expect u guys to do that. Just study hard. He is not that hard. He gave extra credit to boost up the grade. All u have to do is study hard. Also, HW help

His first test always the hardest test. After that, it's easy. It's not that hard guys. Here are my advises. Don't read the textbook. Study from his notes. U can get 60% on each test and do well on Homework, u can end up with a B. Final exam, don't spend time to study old exams...read the notes cuz his final exam only 3-4 questions from old exams.

How did this man obtain the Director of the Chemistry Dept.? He doesn't care if you learn the material. I learned nothing. He takes all of his questions for homework and tests out of the back of other textbooks he has, that's why the tests and homework seem to come out of nowhere.

HARDEST CHEMISTRY TEACHER YOU WILL EVER HAVE. MOST AVERAGES ON THE TEST ARE FAILING, AND THAT'S EVEN IF HE BOTHERS POSTING GRADES. BE PREPARED TO FAIL YOUR TESTS AND NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!

Dr. Frye is the hardest chemistry professor to understand at the University of Findlay. He stands up and lectures about stuff that is not on the test. If you ask him a question he will talk over your head. His tests are very tricky and hard to understand. I would not recommend taking any classes with him.
