Comment:

Easiest class all semester, attendance not really mandatory although he says he will do "random checks." Super laid back, lets you bring in your speech to present, really easy grader. If you want a fun easy class where you do hardly any work, this is perfect.

So easy it's a joke. You'll get an A but take him if you want to be infuriated every day that your money is being wasted on a class like this. Gives "critiques" to students after speeches that are useless. It seems like he didn't even watch the speaker at all. Never touched the book either.

had prof kochian for public speaking and he's a total boss. take him if you can, he is literally such a cool guy and a great teacher...and he lets you bring in your whole speech and it's a really really relaxed enviornment

This class is super easy, enjoyable, and although you are required to give fairly long (7-8 min) speeches, low-pressure. Kochian is understanding, easy to talk to, and crystal clear about what he expects from the assignments. Best of all you aren't required to show up on the days you aren't speaking! Best public-speaking professor hands down.

KOCHIAN IS MY HERO! the class is extremely easy and he helps you progress as a speaker. all you do is a speech once a month! Kochian is a straight baller, with the Rolex to prove it! He is funny, kind, and very easy to talk to. This man inspired me to consider a communication major.

Kochian is the man! I had him early in the morning (8am!) and he was easy! made sure you were comfortable with giving speeches, and allowed the class to give you anonymous written critiques/comments, which I found to be the most helpful. He's charismatic for his age, and extremely approachable if you need help for anything!

Oh' man, this is one of the best professors in the core curriculum. He tells you exactly what he expects of the class and then coaches you through it. He is very understanding, so if you need help on any of the assignments just ask him. I would take him again if I could.

EASY EASY EASY!!! he's seriously a joke. he likes to talk a lot..never opened the book just for the final. he's super easy. no tests just 3 speeches and a take home final..which is super easy just time consuming..AND a 1.5 page paper on a public speaker...take him seriously he super easy!
