Comment:

Out of assignments are easy but tests are really difficult. Her grading scale varies from day to day(depends on how she is feeling I guess). She makes you take notes word for word. All in all I would suggest taking this with any other safety professor. An intro class should not be the hardest class in the major.

At first I thought she was very hard and her first test seemed impossible because it's all writing. But if you study it is really not that hard. On the second test I got a perfect paper! She is kinda snappy but will help you if you really need it.

Her test are hard. I studied for three days straight and still got a C. She does snap at you a lot during simulations. She doesn't have patience if you mess up during those- she will yell at you. Even when first learning how to do something, she will snap at you. Seriously, take the course through other places if you need it.

I am a junior, i am intelligent, i have 100% in her class. If you are stupid, you will not do well. If you go to class, take notes, and come up with thorough answers to her test questions, you will do well.

This class is harder than it seems. Test questions are very specific and nearly impossible unless you memorize the book. Dr. Cavill is rude and sarcastic when you ask questions. The only good part about the class was that it was a night class and she always let us leave WAY early. One time, we were dismessed 15 mins after class began.

As a person, nothing against her...as a teacher, BAD. Class material is easy. Tests are unfair. (All answers are true) Mainly from the book, but very hard to prepare for. She never teaches and only shows outdated videos. Newsflash: Health knowledge has been improved since the 70's...She gives bonus opportunities, but the tests bring you down.

She is a very nice lady. She seems rude at first but if you appear to like her and aren't a complete idiot, she will like you. Her tests weren't the easiest and you actually need to study but I got an A thanks to her extra credit! I would take her again if I could.

This was the worst class I have ever taken. Cavill is a complete jerk. She thinks she rules SRU, but really she has no clue what students want. If you go against her or her family, watch out. Also, if she has a grudge against you or just thinks you are competition, you will fail the class.

She's a nice lady, although she will snap on you if you mess up. She helps you out if you talk to her about a problem or missing class. Don't wait to study for the tests until the last minute, because you get tested on about 9 chapters at a time! But overall, it's pretty easy.

don't take this class, get your classes through Bc3 or other community colleges, for el. ed majors: get your cpr/firstaid certification through red cross and get this credit waivered!!! it is a waist of time, i busted my bum and got a 'C' Which is an 'F' if you're an Ed. major. Avoid This course at all costs, Cavil teaches all of them.

She expects a lot from you so be prepared. If you don't do something right, she does snap, but its nothing personal, she does it to everyone. Best advice, practice and learn the steps and you'll do fine, and study for her tests! They can be hard if you don't know the material.

An older lady over 60, keeps a very old school traditional classroom, she is very nice and tells a lot of entertaining stories that relate to the class. She has a lot of experience, it helped with learning in the classroom. But she Doesn't have any patience At All, when learning 'hands-on' procedures, don't take it personally if she snaps at you.

Smart lady who isn't totally boring, but tests are hard even w/studying. Don't ask her questions because she prefers yelling at you if you do not know how to do something instead. She's really nice outside of class but I would not recommend actually taking one of her classes.
