By far the worst professor I have ever had, and I'm not saying this out of spite. I did fine in the class, but every exam contained errors and he refused to fix his mistakes or discuss grades. Points were arbitrarily taken away on labs, he flew through lecture slides without explaining much at all. Exam questions were nothing like the textbook.

I read the other reviews and said " I'm a good student, I can definitely tackle this". I was wrong. You learn the most basic things in class and are expected to do rocket science on exams. A quote from the doctor himself "I forget this is difficult for some people". It is when our teacher is no bueno. Take this with ANYONE else. Save yourself.

He cares about his students and he loves chemistry. The only downsides are his disorganization, inaccessibility, and understanding what you're asking. You've got to read on your own, do the prelabs, and show up to class. But if you have questions or want to meet up to ask questions you're better off using youtube or google.

Took this class because I had a diff. major in mind at the time. Only took 2 nursing chems. prior to this. Prof Williams is not any easy prof, but chemistry is not an easy subject. As long as you attend lecture, do the homework, and labs, you'll be fine, but get ready to spend at least 20-25 hours a week doing problems and studying for exams.

Thankfully, the online homework does not affect your grade only the online quizzes do. Make sure to always go over the exams on your own and then with him and you may be seeing the exam material on the final.

He changed from physical quizzes to online quizzes and online homework which are a pain. Thankfully, the online homework does not affect your grade only the online quizzes do. Make sure to always go over the exams on your own and then with him and you may be seeing the exam material on the final.

Make sure you get the right text and wait for the link to the access code before even purchasing the text. I just started taking him and I will update on this semester's experience. He seems really helpful so far in that he wants students to succeed. We have book representatives coming to speak to us about the textbook and access book.

I took Organic Chemistry with Dr. Williams this summer. The subject matter is very difficult. Never would I advise anyone to take this course over a 6-week long summer session. Dr. Williams is a very smart man who knows his stuff. He is challenging, which forces the students to learn the material. Show up, study, read, and practice problems.

I just finished a summer class with this professor. He definitely knows the material in-depth. However, he is the most disorganized professor I have ever had (changed the syllabus like 7 times). He is also very rude to students if you ask him questions. Tests are tough but make sure you do practice tests he gives as a lot of the questions are same.

I just finished a summer class with this professor and he is great, the best chemistry professor that I ever had. Straight to the point (structure, structure, structure). I do recommend this professor and I had many professors including professors from Europe.

HARD class...Does not clarify anything at all. His powerpoints are useless as nothing in them is on the exam. He teaches you ABC but on the exam its more like XYZ. Studying old exams and doing problems in the book helps somewhat but not completely. M y recommendation is to know the book forwards and backwards...only way you will pass.

Complete joke. Taking a course with him is comparable to getting kicked in the face. Over and over and over again. Do yourself and stay away from this loser. He obviously can't handle his work load. Completely miserable and useless. Take the class with someone else.

Organic chemistry is a difficult class however if you learn off his powerpoints and do the quizzes from the Essential Ideas/past quizzes/past exams you will do well. Make sure to pay attention to your quizzes as he has a tendency to mark correct answers incorrect. He is a fair teacher but, again, this is organic chem...it's hard! Read the book also

Very hard class, pretty good teacher. 50% of what it takes to pass this class will be done on your own. Hint: read the book, do homework, even if not assigned. Go to office hours from day one, right after first quiz. Tests ARE the quizzes. Do not work or take other hard classes. THIS IS YOUR CLASS THIS SEMESTER. You WILL Pass if you try very hard.

Very hard to comprehend material he's teaching. He flies through the powerpoint slides that are overcrowded. Hard to find an appointment time to meet with him. Never stays in the lab room for when you need him. Tests do not reflect accurately the material he goes over in class. Tells you last minute when labs are due and when tests will be" I agree

This professor is very clear, nice, and semi-humorous. Williams is really good at teaching with his PPTs and examples onto the board. Honestly, I like his style, aside from the dislike of binders. Do well in lab and decent in exams, quizzes can make a difference.

the reason he cant make the info eay to inderstand s because it's chem!! you have to put in effort, utilize email to contact him. ry busy guy but cares for students. tests DO reflect material, he gives study guides on webct and expects you to prepare for class/lab by READING. sure sounds like an "unfair" professsor to me.. grow up guys, its college
