Comment:

You could not ask for a fairer professor.. Was very understanding during the Covid outbreak. You could not complain or do poorly unless you failed to follow the requirements or did not buy the book. The course really helped me with interviews and writing a better resume.

We only had class with Prof. Maiorca a few times due to COVID-19, but the ones that we did have were always fun and interesting! You have to buy his textbook, but it's not a bad textbook. He cancelled class for the rest of the semester and just gave us a final based off the textbook, and it was pretty easy!

Good summer online course. His assignments and grading criteria were very organized and clear. You will do great as long as you study the book which is not difficult compare to other courses. He seems like a very caring and fair guy. You learn alot and will do well if you do the work

Very nice guy and understanding during the virus outbreak. Assignments were clear and tests were very fair . You just need to read the required book which was fairly easy. Not a difficult class if you have half a brain..

Prof Maiorca was amazing during the pandemic. He cared and showed great flexibility about deadlines while we transitioned from F2F to online. You could not have asked more of a great teacher in an emergency situation and we still learned alot!

Do not take his online class. His notes are ridiculous. Theyre not broken down for you. You need read a whole textbook in order to get the answers to his tests. He's horrible at describing the assignments. He is not lenient or easy going. Everything is due at 11pm not 11:59 like the rest. Who does that? Overall worst online class I have ever taken

One of the best professors I've had at FIT. He's the nicest man ever and always lets out early. There are barely any tests and assignments, but the textbook is mandatory (we use it in almost every class). He's an amazing professor and truly cares for his students. I would definitely take him again.

Best professor for an online class. He doesn't overload you with work and it is 100% manageable. He replies to emails quickly if you need clarification and is very grateful when the class does above average on quizzes/midterm and final. the quizzes are short and the exams are easy too. You have to buy his textbook but it's easy to get through!

Great professor, really informative lectures. He gives three tests in all all on a couple of chapters so no cumulative final, but the tests are pretty tough and tricky, and the tests aren't really a lot based on the book like he always says it is, study for the tests with the power points, the book, as well as just google basically.

Finally a professor that understands the concept of an online class. We had two exams, some discussion questions and a few quick papers. There is no way you can fail this course unless you're slacking major time. If you work full time, or can't make it home before 9 PM, avoid this class--he gives a timeframe midweek for exams.

Great online class that prepares you for the current world of work. Great projects and discussions that are real. One bummer-no extra credit. Need the book to do well in his class. Very practical course that helps me with issues at my internship.

Had him for general and now industrial online. Practical course but you must submit work on time or you lose credit. Like a real job. Got a lot from the course especially legal issues re pay and discrimination. One of the best profs at the school

None of his tests are cumulative, and there are 3 short ones that are extremely to the point. One project where he lets you do whatever topic you want. You learn a fair amount in his class, but he's a better all around guy than he is a teacher. He was an absolute sweetheart though, and is understanding and kind. I'd take him again.

Professor Maiorca is honestly the nicest man I have ever met in my entire life. He is helpful, lenient, and takes time to get to know each individual student. He is the type of person to always brighten your day and actually cares about you. I am so glad I had him, he is a great teacher and such a nice person. No possible way to dislike him!

Very fun and motivating teacher. There aren't many motivating teachers who actually care about their students. Makes class interesting and makes students be involved in lectures. How well you do is up to you. You need to put time and effort into studying and it is up to you to participate but he does care about students work + wants them to succeed

I just finished having him. He was knowledgable and made the subject matter interesting. His tests were difficult but if you do all of the readings you should do well. I have not received my grade yet but regardless of what I get I would have him again as a teacher.
