She has a very thick accent that is hard to understand, doesn't use powerpoint, notes, or anything outside of the textbook. Gives tests and grades them as if you're an experienced lawyer, which is ridiculous because there is no review. Whatever you get from the textbook, that's what you got. No other information. Oh and skip class you won't passx10

Professor Wachtel is a great professor, her class can be seen as boring if you aren't interested in the law but being I plan to go to law school I found the class very interesting and helpful.

I had to take this course and since she is the only teacher there was no choice! It was the most agonizing experience at FIT and just prayed to pass! She does not like students to disagree, and gets very upset when you do. I don't know how and why she is still teaching!! If not required, SKIP HER & HER CLASS!!

Rosina is such a wonderful woman! So inspirational and riveting. She tells it like it is and she isn't afraid to share what's on her mind. She makes you work for a grade. You have to actually BUY the textbook if you WANT to pass! Keep that in mind and read the chapter of the textbook ! If you don't do anything YOU WILL NOT PASS!

She def gets a bad rap. She's not the best teacher but certainly not the worst. Yes, she's hard to understand and you spend the first few weeks learning about seemingly worthless information in relation to BL. But it's a really interesting class she actually really cares about her students. And if you can't understand her - READ THE BOOK.

I loved this class and Professor Wachtel. Yes she does have a thick accent but I found this made me pay attention more and listen harder and besides in this industry you will have to deal with people from many different backgrounds. The material covered is essential and should be expanded by FIT. The best Prof. at FIT (and best qualified).

Her accent is very thick and you can't understand a word she says. She talks about things that aren't related to law (we spent two weeks talking about geography and agriculture in Mesopotamia). She is self-righteous and rude. She is very preachy about life. Doesn't give accurate information. READ THE BOOK if you want to learn anything.

Worst Professor I've ever had. I think just about anyone that has had her will agree. Anyone that doesn't probably just doesn't want to sound mean. She whispers,scribbles on the board and thinks she knows the meaning of life. She is a prime example of how flawed the system of tenuring professors is.

First few classes have nothing to do with law.does not relate anything you are reading in the textbook to class. I raised my hand for 20 minutes before she actually called on me because she was in the middle of telling a pointless story. She has a heavy accent so its very hard to understand her ontop of all this. Dont take her!

The first 3 weeks are brutal but after that it gets a little more interesting. She isn't hard on attendance but uses almost every second of class time to the point where she introduces new concepts 3 minutes before class ends. Test aren't too bad if you listen to what is on it & study. She is very unhelpful thought and doesn't answer e-mails often.

Funniest woman ever. Words cannot describe how hilarious Rosina is. She is over the top about the information and will find a way to give you an unnecessary pep talk. She is adorable. She tells you a lot about her life and less about the information. Open the book and teach yourself and try to enjoy class because it really is funny.

This is the worst classI have ever taken. It's super hard and she thinks every student learns in the same way. But I failed both the midterm and the final but ended up with a B. Go to every class, sit in the front, email her question, act like you're paying attention and you should be fine.

First three classes are more boring than church. After that it gets decently interesting, but Wachtel is not a good professor and will not answer questions, does not like being questioned or contradicted even when wrong. Other than that its mostly just read from the book and fairly straightforward. Still, would not recommend.

well..like everyone said first few weeks are a history lecture..im in the summer class now and we JUST started the judiciary system. it's not that interesting unless u enjoy sitting and listening for 3hrs..she acts like a lawyer so dont expect opinions. she just talks alot..=/

At the beginning the history part was boring. Right after that was done, i was all ears, she really does use life examples from her personal experience as a lawyer. It's a lot of work but she makes it interesting. You need to dedicate time to this class in order to achieve a remarkable grade. She was ultimately a very inspiring individual!

Honestly, the first few classes are a little boring but they are the fundamentals and you need to know it. After the first few weeks it does get interesting because she uses real life examples. Yea she has an accent but you get use to it and this isnt a class where you do nothing in and you can get an A easily, you actually have to do the work..

B4 taking this class I was excited to learn aboutLaw, after 3 weeks of Greek and Egyptian History I couldn't take it anymore and dropped. Her lessons so far have NOTHING to do with the subject & is a waste of the students time. She is rude & hates answering questions. A weekly questions is required and she almost never answers it. DO NOT TAKE HER!
