The assignments given by this professor has resulted in some of my best graphic design work. The final design portfolio project has already landed me an internship. INVALUABLE!

Joe Martin is the best! I took all his classes and wished that there could have been more of them. He totally made me LOVE graphics design and advertising. He's very professional in his field and this really helped me understanding how to design effective ads, logos and posters. I definitely recommend his classes.

nice man, very laid back, however, he lectures about his own personal life and experiences FOREVER. I lost alot of interest in the class because I was fighting to stay awake during his talks. His assignments are pretty linear too, not alot of room for branching out and exploring your own design technique. Nice man, but not my cup of tea.

From a year with him I learned what advertising design was. Everything has to work together and its all about meaning then what it looks like. At CSUN I am now learning how to make it look good, and this is a very good mixture on ideas. Remember 3-2-1. I still don't know exactly what that means. Everything working together I think.

Nice Man, and is professional, but not very helpful in the teaching aspect. This class could make you twice as strong in this area or make you totally regret taking it and wasting years of your life.. sad really. Kinda disapointed!

He can be very informative, he focuses mostly on advertising even though I took Graphics II. But he can be annoying at times when he goes on and on about things. Make sure you get all your projects in on time. I'm a straight A student and I got a B.
