A circuit theory classmate said: "Cardell is really brilliant, and so all of this material seems easy and intuitive to her, and so she assumes it is for her students as well. It isn't." Most of class is spent working through examples individually, and not going over them as a class afterward. You'd be better off staying home and reading the book.

She knows the topic, but she's not that good at explaining things, and she's obsessed with this "knowledge building" thing, which is only good to make you feel lost and without guidance, and it is worth 25% of the grade, even though it is pretty useless. A disappointing class.

Not the clearest of teachers. Coming from someone who already knew the course material, she did a poor job of teaching it, often times made it much more confusing than need to. Very nice woman however, and a fair grader.

She is very nice and helpful. Often willing to make extra time for students beyond office hours even come in on Saturday during reading period! She isn't the most organized but usually gets things together eventually.

Even though Professor Cardell is not so clear sometimes, I love the way she is always helping people. If you send her a e-mail with questions, she is going to get back to you before you imagine (and her answers are usually very helpful).

Comment:

Everything moves very slow and nothing ever gets done. I think she gets lost when she talks sometimes, and she never adresses any questions that are raised about pertinent topics. Also this class is super lame, never take it unless you're required.
