He is brilliant and incredibly interesting. i loved the class. it wasnt a cake walk, the concepts were hard to grasp at times, but he did a great job of explaining them. he is a complete nerd, but loves what he does and it shows. yes it's in the physics department so why wouldnt there be math involved? great class, highly recommended.

honestly, i dont know who those people are that love this guy and think he is funny and this class is fun. astronomy is the worst and most boring class i will ever take. He thinks he is really smart and is mean about his tests. dont think this class is easy, becuase its NOT. oh and there is math involved in astronomy.

My favorite prof. by far! He works really hard to make class interesting and likes to crack jokes... also if a cell phone rings during lecture, he dances to the music. The material can be confusing and since he's really smart, he can be confusing, but with a small amount of review, I had no trouble getting a good grade. This professor is so cool!

By far the greatest professor of all time. course material is boring as hell but he teaches it perfectly. I felt like i had to go to class every week just so i could get all the material. NO work whatsoever. Tests seem difficult, but the material is easy to study all you need is the time to go over the class slides he gives.

This guy is ridiculously smart and knows everything about astronomy. I ended up teaching myself everything and got a decent grade, the class is much harder than it looks. He is very boring but really smart. Decent class to take if you are really into astrophysics, otherwise i'd avoid id

Knisely is AMAZING. I hate astronomy, and any other science for that matter, but he makes class interesting through jokes and tangents. Plus, he's a priest who is a physicist.. who dooesn't think that is hilarious?

Nicest/Smartest man alive! Tests are very hard but curved a LOT, so you'll most likely do well. No work really assigned and don't always have to go to class. Most boring class ever, but he really tries hard and knows everything you would ever need to know about physics.

Genuinely nice guy; an expert at physics and astronomy, especially about black holes; very little work assigned. Material gets kind of convoluted but if you ask questions he can make you understand anything.
