Comment:

This professor is one of my favorites. Everything you will need to pass this class is outlined in the syllabus and when I had any questions, she would answer me via email in a time manner. If you do the study guides YOU WILL pass the tests. Im bad with procrastination but I still managed to get an A. TAKE HER!!!

Comment:

Professor Davis is an excellent instructor. She provides you with all the necessary tools to be successful in her class. STUDY GUIDES are time consuming, but if you do them the test will be easy. The discussions were the best I've been apart of because while it is focused on the class it provides real life examples of your peers.

Comment:

Took Marriage & Family online Sumer B 2020. I thought it was cool that she offered a pass on the final if you scored all A's on the unit tests. I had to take the final becasue I did not take heed to her warning to fill out the study guide. After the first one I got all A's. The study guide is such a great and greatly assist with the tests. Easy A

Comment:

You REALLY have to do the study guides to score an A+ on the test. They are about 85% the same with the rest easy to find in the textbook. You WILL need the textbook for this course. She grades fairly, but there are 4 discussions, a video quiz (easy!), and a test every week. You can do the test in half the time if you do the study guide beforehand.

Mrs Davis is a thoughtful instructor. She gives great criticism, but isn't condescending. She makes herself available to her students. She is prompt answering emails. Be organized and give yourself enough time to complete the study guides which were very helpful for her tests. She is clear on her expectations and grading criteria. Highly recommend.

Took the on-line 6 week Summer, Intro to Sociology class. Her syllabus was clear and concise. There was not very much homework, but study guides for the tests. This is how you make a good grade. You need to READ to answer the study guides, enabling top scores for the test. She is a 'Top Notch' instructor. She swiftly responds to any questions.

Video quizzes are easy but don't relate to the test. Homework almost everyday. Study guides seem to be useless because they don't help you with the test. All test are timed, one minute each question. Course essay is graded as if this is an English class so be sure to have taken English right before this class. Just pick someone else.

The worst professor I have taken yet. It takes forever to respond to emails. Tests are weighted heavily. If you fail once, you cannot get your grade back up. Would not recommend this class with this professor. She often gets confused and seems very all over the place. The video quizzes are easy, but the videos that you have to watch are awful.

All of the comments regarding her degrading behavior are true. There are absolutely no second chances with this woman. It's as if she wants you to fail. Especially right now during this pandemic some compassion would go a long way. An assignment is due every single day in her summer semester. There are no breaks. Never would recommend her class.

This was a very enjoyable and interesting class. Discussion post were opinion and experience based so it was nice to read classmate responses. Test are important but if you do the study guide it's an easy A. Professor was easy to email and always gave feedback on every assignment, which I appreciate. Also very through and gave clear directions.

Ms. Davis was a great online teacher. I had her for two classes and in each one she was very flexible and easy to reach out to. I do not know why she has so many negative reviews because her teaching and personality in general is very welcoming and helpful! :)

Comment:

If you do not do the study guide you will not pass tests. She already has the questions done, you will just have to fill in the answers. Discussion posts weekly and one essay paper. Fairly easy class to do and she is quick to respond if you have any questions. Also, it is a team effort if you need help studying for the test on a discussion board.

I had this teacher for marriage and family and loved this class! It was an online class but I still felt she was very helpful. She put together study guides that cover every chapter and if you do them, you will pass her tests. The study guides are long so they are time consuming but well worth it.

Comment:

Professor Davis is very clear and concise about what she expects -- as long as you actually do the readings and all the assignments including the discussions, you will do well in the class. Read the syllabus carefully as she includes specific details about formatting assignments in it. Take the practice tests! Great professor, would 100% recommend!

DO NOT take the online class unless you are prepared to answer 50 scenario-based questions within one hour. These things take time to consider and review and there is never enough time to finish! All she has are video quizzes that loosely relate to the chapters then throws a big test out with no prior explanation or assignment-based review.

This Professor wants you to do well in her class. All expectations are given upfront in the syllabus. The amount of work expected, I feel was very fair. I found the class to be rewarding educationally, as well as personally. Totally recommend Professor Davis!

She was amazing! She has layouts and examples to show you exactly what she's looking for. Do the study guides she gives you, they are crucial to your success in the class. I definitely recommend.

Do not take her. very rude and not very helpful. Her tests do not make sense and you have no idea where they come from. The video quizzes are easy but her tests are not and i would not recommend taking her. she is not helpful.

She grades based on video quizzes and tests, if you get A's on all 4 you don't have to take the final exam. Class is pretty straightforward, very meticulous on formatting of assignments so make sure you read the syllabus. Overall she is a very good teacher and explains assignments well.
