Dr. Krause is very knowledgeable in her field and generally enjoys teaching. However, she has a reputation for being condescending and even flat out rude/snotty at times which prevents a lot of students from feeling like they are supported by her (especially as opposed to other teachers in the French dept.) which is helpful in an upper level course

Prof. Krause is no pushover--expect to do the work (on time) and participate. None of this should surprise anyone who reads the syllabus. She is incredibly knowledgeable in her field and passionate about sharing her expertise. She belongs in an elite university.

Dr. Krause is a fabulous instructor! She brings so much life to works of the renaissance and the middle ages and I am glad to have taken a course with her. Her expectations are clear-cut and she always willing to help you.

Mrs. Leimkuehler was a blast. I learned so much and in a very understanding way. She has a great passion for teaching and helping others. This class was a great experience and suggest it to anyone. If you don't know French when you enter, you will when you leave. Merci Mrs. Leimkuehler

I have NO idea what everyone is takling about. Dr. Krause is truly a wonderful teacher and is very knowledgeable in her subject area. She is understanding and really is a joy to listen to in class. She made a class that many student cautiously approach, French Literature, very interesting and she has quickly become one of my favoriate professors.

Worst class I have ever taken. If she weren't tenured, I'm sure she'd lose her job. Snotty, inappropriate ('sarcastic') humor, generally uninspiring...with the attitude she has, you'd think she were in an expert in the field. Which she is NOT. Don't ever take a class with K.Krause.

It was a horrible class. She showed up late and then complained at other students for showing up late. Her cell phone went off constantly and she did everything in her power to make sure that certain students felt stupid and inferior even though they hardly ever missed class and turned in assignments early. Definitely don't take this class!

The class as a whole was pretty easy although you do get alot of busy work and attendance is a required which gets a little annoying especially because like I said it was an easy course.

Professor Kraus is very nice and helpful. She is always willing to help students who are really intersted in learning. She does not give many breaks though, and she is not sympathetic to students who don't try.
