Katie is the chair of the art history department for good reason! She is a really tough teacher, but unquestionably knows what she is talking about. She is a good teacher who genuinely takes time to help her students understand the material for the courses. Reading and attendance is absolutely mandatory! (will make you recite names if you're late!)

Excellent teacher! Her classes are hard but she is more than willing to help. Katie is very fair and always makes the material interesting. Except for that one video. A great woman to get to know, for her helpfulness and brilliant mind!

I'm glad some other people appreciate her. Great teacher, knows her stuff. Notorious for strict grading, very high expectations. Textbook unnecessary. Get it all from lectures. Be honest rather than BSing. Talk to her if you're having a hard time. Expect a C, work hard then maybe a B. This isn't self-paced fitness.

I absolutely love Katie Hauser. She is honest, intelligent, and challenging. She genuinely wants her students to do well. However, she requires you to work hard in order to do so, and she accepts NO bull. If you are a dedicated and motivated student you will have no problems in Katie's classes. She has been my mentor as well as my friend.

Katie is a really dedicated, intelligent, and thoughtful professor. Her class is not an easy A, but if you work hard and show that you care, you will do well. Katie is picky on papers, but if you go and talk to her she is also incredibly helpful. She wants her students to do well and learn. Taking a class with her was a truly refreshing experience.

This woman will really challenge you. She'll kick your ass, but then if you ask for help and make a true effort, she'll teach you how to avoid getting your ass kicked in the future. That, and she's brilliant. She's a quick thinking, sharp, genuine feminist and I love it.
