I rock at math... so before I give her a not so great review, don't think it's because of my grade. She had favorites, who definitely got special treatment (better grades, came in late, left early, had cell phones ring A LOT during class). Easy class though, if you don't mind kissing up for a better grade. That's not how I roll...

Dr. Shin's class helped me out a lot when I took my stats course. Everyone else in my class was having problems, but I was flying through the work in my stats class thanks to Dr. Shin's emphasis on stats. very nice, very pretty, and easy. doesn't move on to another subject 'til everyone understands the current one. GREAT PROFESSOR!

Sweet as sugar, and just as boring would sum her up. I wasted about 100 bucks on a book I NEVER used (still got an A in the class), and wasted my time and energy getting up for her 8 oclock class, just to leave fifteen minutes after it started. Oh and don't show up when it's optional since it's apparently optional for her (read: she was a no show).

I LOVE this teacher, I really hate math but when she knows your working hard and you really care about your grade she will go out of her way to help you. She won't take excuses but if you make a good effort you'll do fine!!!!!

Dr. Shin is such a great teacher! She will explain something to you until you get it. She's also very funny and really cares about her students, she's always saing "Be Happy!" Go to class, take good notes, do some homework, and study for the tests/quizzes and you'll be ok:)

I absolutely love this woman! I am not by any means at all a math person, in fact, I hate math. I looked forward to coming to her class just for the laughs and the good times that came with it. It was one of those classes where, If I were going to fail it, I would fail with my head high, and I would look forward to taking it again next semester!

Shes a pretty funny teacher.Very nice and tries to help but she moves really fast. Tries her best to help you understand but i dont think she knows everyone doesnt like math like her.I thought entry level math wud be easier than this but its actually kinda hard.But Dr.Shin is cool so i guess it's okay

She is simply the best! I absolutely love her; she is so helpful and you will definitely learn from this intelligent woman. And, she is the hottest Asian I have ever encountered. I wish she was family so that I could see her more often. She is so easy to talk to and if you study - you'll be fine.

MTH 130 with Shin can be difficult at times. I think she is a little hard to understand, but I also feel if I had math every day rather than only 2 days a week, I would understand better. Math is my fav subject, but sometimes I am lost with Shin bc she goes very fast. Shes very nice& funny though

Dr. Shin is so nice! She really cares about the students and knew everyone's name by the end of the first week. There are a lot of quizzes, but you get to drop your lowest one. I think she is definitely one of the best professors at MU.
