Comment:

She is a great and clear teacher. Her class is a bit lecture-heavy, so be prepared to take GOOD notes, especially on specific people/events she points out. She is super caring and really takes the time to make sure her students feel supported in and out of the classroom. Her tests and papers can be difficult, but she is always willing to meet you.

Comment:

Dr. Frederking is a kind professor who is highly knowledgeable in her field of work. I find that they way she presents her lectures are clear and concise and although it's a lot of material and you'll have to study lots to succeed it shouldn't be too difficult to do well in her class as long as you're willing to put in the effort.

I have taken multiple courses from Frederking. She is extremely knowledgeable about her subject matter and prefers discussion over lecturing. Attending class is a must since most of the test material is over lecture. She may be considered a hard grader but is willing to help if you seek it. She makes the material intriguing and class entertaining.

Dr. Frederking is VERY knowledgable about the subject in which she teaches. She is always willing to help, you just need to approach her during her office hours! A very helpful and knowledgable teacher, the course is pretty challenging.

Comment:

She definitely wants all her students to do well telling us if we're willing to put in the extra effort, there is no reason we shouldn't get an A, which is true. She tries to refrain from giving an opinion on politics but wants us to be able to see any issue from multiple perspectives. Tests aren't too difficult as long as you can connect concepts.

Highly recommend any and all classes with Dr. Frederking. She is brilliant and will help you to see concepts in different ways. I won't lie and say she is not challenging, but you will learn a lot and walk away feeling it was worth it. She is also a great person, so make use of her office hours. She is always willing to help.

Dr. Frederking is so great! She is so passionate about her subject that it makes going to class so much fun. She is a wonderful resource and I highly recommend taking any class from her. A wonderful woman and amazing professor!

Dr. Frederking is brilliant but one of the most difficult professors I've ever encountered. She really knows her stuff and expects her students to work hard. Attendance is absolutely required and neglecting the text is a very, very bad idea. She is always willing to help, you just have to ask politely. She's just brilliant.

Disliked the class but loved Dr. Frederking. She was always quick to respond to questions and discuss what we were not understanding. Great lecturer and made everything connect. Wonderful experience. Not a hard grader if you made sure you double checked grammar.

Prof. Frederking isn't very accommodating. She is a bit cold and rude. I would really recommend staying on her good side. The class was interesting but her demeanor really took away from it. She doesn't go out of her way to help students either so make the class a priority.

Dr. Frederking is amazing. Her lectures are very clear and organized; well balanced with student engagement. She expects her students to their best which can be challenging for some. Attendance is not required for a grade, however missing class puts one behind. She is very intelligent and very helpful. Over all a great professor and person!

This class was not easy. I studied for the first exam and got an A. Neglected the second and got a C. Study seriously for the tests and don't slack on her research paper. That almost killed my grade but she allows you to resubmit it so any mistakes can be overcome. Covers great detail in lecture attend class regularly,

Dr. Frederking is great. There are a lot of tests, but if you take good notes they are not awful. She also gives you the option of dropping your lowest test or not taking one. She's very helpful, you just have to ask. There's also one paper in the class. Reading definitely helps with tests, but there can be a lot of reading.

Dr. Frederking plays favorites and if you are on her bad side, you are pretty much screwed. Her tests are basically on her lectures and does overlap the text, but you could get away with just going to class. She is a tough grader on papers. The class was definitely not easy especially for an intro class but I did learn a lot.

Hard, cocky & rude. She thinks her tests are brilliant assessment tools. They are so hard to study for, even if you put in the effort. Sometimes you find yourself paying less attention to the substance of her lecture and focusing instead on her mannerisms. She often cuts students off and makes ugly facial expressions when they speak. Abrasive.
