He is an amazing teacher. He actually makes going to class fun. He is extremely helpful, and easy to understand. The tests cover exactly what you go over in class. As long as you read the book, show up to class, and take notes you will get a good grade.

Comment:

This was such an amazing class. Not only did I learn about classical works of literature, but I also had fun while in there. I recommend this class to anyone who enjoys books and learning the meanings of those books as much as I do. Plus his class never gave me an ounce of stress. Even during finals.

I originally thought 'wow, he's attractive AND he likes to read'. However, by the end of the semester, he had managed to totally sour my attitude for him. Avoid this class if you cannot afford the books. He is fond of telling his students 'there are no right or wrong answers'. Remember that when you don't say the 'right' thing in his class.

This professor knows his stuff and expects that his students know it as well. The class was not easy but interesting. You came out of the class either educated or unhappy and that has to do with the time you put in. Felsen meets you half way but some of it is your responsibility as well.

Great teacher. I've had him for multiple classes. You learn a lot in his classes and he is very enthusiastic about what he does. He is always willing to help and will let you submit multiple drafts to him to review before the actual due date. The main focus of grading is on the papers and final. expect 3-6 papers ranging from 6-8 pages per semester

Always fun to be in class, great topics for discussion. You have to read to understand discussion, and the discussion is important for the tests, but his tests are fair. Papers also aren't too difficult, just use a lot of textual citations.

Professor Felsen is hands down the greatest teacher I've ever had! The class discussions are always loads of fun! As long as you do the reading he assigns, you'll be just fine. If you don't understand something, he makes it crystal clear for you. He is enthusiastic about teaching and he isn't boring!!! Phenominal professor!

My feelings have nothing to do with his appearance, but I do know that I hardly took notes in the class, listened, did the reading, and was so surprised when I came out with a good grade. If you get past trying to discredit him because some people think he's "hot," you might find that he actually teaches too, and what he teaches shows up on exams.

Dr. Felson is CERTAINLY a MASTER at his craft. However, I didn't find his discussions fair as he liked to interact more with the girls and agreed with them more than he did the guys. His grading of tests and essays is a little ambiguous and I'm not sure how I earned what I did as I have NEVER scored so POORLY on English papers!!!! Good Class!!!! He is a GORGEOUS Man with a hot ass, too! :-)
