I had the privilege of having Prof. Bastiaans at the start of her career and she captivated me with her knowledge, patience, intelligence, humor and inspiration. I share this today as 30 years ago RMP did not exist. To this day I have a real interest in meteorology (and understanding) thanks to her.

One of the BEST professors at NCC. She is great and passionate about things she does and she wants all the students to do great in her class. There is a lot of work but if you put in the effort you will get a good grade. Plus she is always there to answer all the questions. Even checks your homework before you submit it for grading!!!

Prof B. is truly an amazing Prof. Really smart but the hybrid course is a lot of work but believe me you will learn and she is beyond helpful and passionate about the course. you can send in work to her early and she would review it and make corrections and explain. Live blackboard collaborate reviews before tests she basically gives the answers!

Professor Bastiaans does an excellent job at helping her students transition into doing college-level assignments and encourages them to continuously be in the mindset to work hard and succeed. Attendance is ABSOLUTELY mandatory. Do not miss class nor be late either, or else she will kick you out!

What's not to love about professor Bastiaans? She is extremely helpful and will help you with ANYTHING you ask. She will do everything she can to ensure you understand the material, even letting you submit assignments for review before they are graded. She's passionate about what she teaches and it makes the experience better.

Professor B was the best. If you aren't willing to do work then don't go to college. She is very caring,and helpful,and she will bend over backwards to help you. Attendance is mandatory,but if you don't attend you will never succeed. I would absolutley reccomend her to any student. The Best teacher,and club advisor a student could ask for.

There is no reason to fail this class, she is one of the greatest teachers I ever had. If you fail this class you really put no effort in and deserve to fail. She will answer emails right away and go over your work before handing it in to get grades. Do the extra credit for an easy 100 in the bank.

The workload is insane and many times I wanted to give up but she cares for her students and will bend backwards to help. This is a college course you must be willing to work hard in but so worth it. If she taught other classes, I would take them all. She is the truly an amazing professor.

Amazing professor!! Class can be hard at times and sort of a workload, but this is a real college class if you are up for a challenge. Also, if you have failing grades in the beginning, go to her for extra help, if you show her you want a good grade she will give it to you! She actually cares for her students!!!!

Professor B. is one of my two all-time favorite professors. She truly loves meteorology and wants to share that with her students. I admire her for her no nonsense treatment of students (the slackers) in deference to those of us who were there to really learn. Studying with Prof. B. is one of the reasons I continued on to NYU. . class of 2000

Best teacher I've ever had, she truly does care students even those who struggle in her class so long as you care about school work she will always be there to help you out, there's plenty of opportunities she offers for you to do well take advantage, pay attention in class and you will be set.
