This guy is perhaps the most underrated professor in Kean. I'm surprised that some people gave him low marks, he may talk in tangents but all you really need to do is the midterm and the finals and they aren't even that hard. You just need to pay attention in class and you'll pass.

Everyone who believes Dr. Dsouza is a difficult professor is talking out of their asses. Midterm and final for his philosophy class and 3 exams for his religion class. Disappointed he was on sick leave this semester. If you're an idiot and skip class that's your fought not his.

Ignore the students leaving bad ratings about this professor. Those are the student who are lazy and don't want to study or do work to earn an A. Read the chapters and come to the lectures and you'll do fine on the test. He's very strict but get over it because he's extremely intelligent and some of his comments are hilarious.

I got an A in his Intro to Religions class. Yes he's hard. Yes, you have to STUDY the book, not just skim it. He gives 3 tests and drops your lowest grade, averaging the remaining 2. You will do as well as you allow yourself. He's extremely intelligent, and very eccentric, but totally fair and very old-school.

I've taken him for Philosophy and enjoyed his class. This class, is probably one of the most difficult classes I have ever taken. It's an intro class and there are 3 huge exams which are widely based on both class & the text. Attendance is not mandatory but I highly recommend it.

This professor is a bit exentric but he is a genius. He understands the material perfectly and repeats the key points extensively. Also gives funny but good examples. I honestly believe he is a genius but he is so mistaken about God. (He's an atheist)

Good professor. We were supposed to have 3 exams, but due to time constraints we can only have 2. Can be hard because your grade is based purely on exams. No attendance taken, no homework, no essay. You can choose to read the book and the class will be a breeze, but the class is still "pass-able" without sticking to the text.

I took him for Intro Religion. He was weird - did this smiling thing which was a bit strange. Class was boring, but if you pay attention, and most importantly take notes, read and work on the packet he gives out, then you can definately pass.

I took the class 2 times and both times failled. Very boring, does not know what he is doing. He's still attached to the 70s teaching. He Talks about his asian wife and his past beer problem but do not teach PHILL! I want to learn PHILL not how my wife will get angry becouse I drink beer and lost several lb! After reading some of the reviews here, I was terrified that I chose his class. Yes, he's absorbed in personal stories and repeats things, but I learned quite a bit in his class. Read the book and don't be scared to participate in discussions; he likes it when you do that. There's just no room for screwing up when the only grades are the exams.
