Great teacher. Knows his stuff and is funny if you like dry humor. Took every CJ class I could with him. Tons of reading, but the cases he makes you research are interesting, so that helps. Best CJ teacher I've had and I just graduated umass Lowell with my CJ degree

Professor Stanton is Excellent at teaching! He really knows the cases and charges to follow. Paying attention is key, as well as showing up to every class. Don't even miss one! Stay organized, take notes, and read! All else will come together. Easier said than done right? If you love CJ, it should come easy.

He is one of the best professors at Mass Bay! Make sure you go to class and pay attention. He hands out cases everyday. Get a binder and keep all of them. When he is talking about the cases, write notes on the side of the page to help you remember important parts of the case. You will hear him say"there's the door, drop your major" a lot.

This guy is hilarious. All you do is listen and he hands outs paper. All you have to do is remember cases and match them up with others. If you know all the cases you will get an A+ if you don't you will fail. Your opinion does not matter and he will shut you down most of the time and will debate with you. He rags on kids in class and its the funny

No textbook was needed for class. Prof. Stanton will drop a syllabus full of cases onto your desk on first day. He will hand out more cases throughout the semester. He yells constantly, so sit away from the front row. His Law & Society class has 4 exams. You just need to compare cases he handed out earlier in the semester. He gives extra credit.

I had take a lot of classes with Professor Staton. All you need to do is read the cases he gave you. This year he has given out cases verbally, so be in class is very important unless you have a buddy who can take notes for you. There are only 3 exams, no paper, no presentation. This year he also given us extra credit.

Took many classes with him. Instead of reading texts books he gives you cases to read, which gives you a good understanding on how the criminal justice system works. As long as you read and understand all of the cases that he gives you, you will pass. Awesome professor.

Okay this guy is a moron, all he does is talk about how your opinion doesnt matter and if you do not know what 9/11 is then you should drop the class. he rarely talks about the actual criminal justice system and how it affects society. i suggest you find another professor because this guy is terrible. I paid $600 to learn nothing, that is all.

Stanton was an incredible teacher. I went there a few years ago and still remember most of the stuff he taught! He gets to point nd knows what he's talking about. I almost switched my major to sociology instead of psychology until he said he didn't get paid much as a socilogist. haha. He's a good guy and a great professor!

All you have to do is show up and take notes. He tries to sound like he's tougher than he is, but as long as you pay attention and don't let your opinions get in the way you'll do really well. He even started making his own book so it's much cheaper and to the point. I can still remember a lot from his class from over a year ago.

He's not so bad as long as you just show up and take notes. He does tend to repeat himself and it's pretty annoying when people start arguments with him though. I love the fact that they're only 2 test and no essays or homework. Just pay attention and you're good.
