Constantly was falling asleep in his class. Could've been because History is not something I particularly enjoy. However, Dr. Paulsson was an OK professor at best, he definitely cares about his students.

If you don't know a lot about history DO NOT TAKE HIM. Although he is a very nice man, his lectures are boring and monotone. He will be talking about WWI one moment and then will be talking about his granddaughter. He also hates undergrads and makes that very clear throughout the semester. If you like learning everything on your own take him.

He's a sweet old guy but his class is split between teaching a few things and rambling about his life or what's going on in the world. If you know nothing about world history since 1500 don't take this class. It's an easy A class for people who know enough about the subject or people who are willing to learn on their own.

I really enjoyed Dr. Paulsson's class. He is a very funny man, but his lectures are very boring. He is also a very hard grader but he helps when you ask for it. If you want to you should take him!

When I came into this class I learned only a few things such as the Peasants Revolt because he kept on talking about it forever and the Crusades. But other than that I think I learned more about what he did in his life instead of actual History. He is a tough grader. He encourages you to go to the student success center. The book wasn't used much

Dr.Paulsson was great. He's just an adorable, funny, little old guy. With our class, he gave two tests, then gave 2 essays that counted as tests. He tries his best to be funny and make the class interesting. Even if you don't like the material, you will probably like him, which makes up for the material.

His lectures are pretty dry. He rambles on and gets off topic a lot. Assignments are hard to understand. He is a nice old guy with tastefully corny jokes. Make sure you actually read!!!

He is a great professor. He is always trying to be funny to make class a little more interesting. His lectures can be boring but its not really his fault, it's the material. I went into this class thinking I was going to hate it, but I actually enjoyed going.

You will learn nothing in this class. It may seem easy at first, but when it comes to having to actually do the work you will have no knowledge to complete it. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.....BUT ACTUALLY!!!!

Honestly, he was one of the best teachers I had. He is a funny old man who likes to tell jokes and tries to keep the class interesting (although some of his jokes aren't funny at all). There isn't homework, and his tests are essays. If it's a take home essay, he will look over it for you beforehand. Take him!

pretty easy class. put effort in your essays and you will get at least a B. take notes as well as you can. he can sometimes talk in circles and often repeat his jokes and notes a lot, but he likes what he teaches and tries to make it interesting.

For the student that doesn't like sitting in history classes, this guy keeps the material simple and easy. Our grade was based on 3 easy papers and a final exam. It's impossible to walk out of his class without an A

Paulsson's a really great guy. He tries to make class more interesting by telling stories and always making jokes. He's the best history prof. i've experienced here but it still is quite boring if you don't enjoy the subject. However, he grades papers horribly and based on his opinions and not on content which can be pretty frustrating.

I got a C. He said he liked what I said in class and I participated more than enough, but that my essays on the exams were "flat" and "too breezy" but I literally wrote down all the words he said in class.

Fair teacher and into the subject. A little dry with reading the text in class but with his stories you will survive.

He honestly isn't a good professor at all. He lectures pretty briefly and doesn't understand when we don't understand it. He assigns a lot of reading and it would probably be good to keep up with it. He's really rude and calls on the same people over and over again.

History of NJ: Interesting topic, taught well by Paulsson. At times he is funny but other times he is a bore. Somewhat pompous, but after all he did write a book no one reads. A lot of reading and a 13 page research paper. Tests are easy; he almost expects you to cheat. If you put in even the slightest effort you should get an B.

Had him for World History. he says the same jokes about 50 times, encourages class discussion and students to think for themselves bout history. when it comes to papers, he can be a tough grader, but its not that bad as long as you write things he wants u to mention. another plus, a paper may be due on monday but be delayd till friday. def take him
