Comment:

Professor Inman is one of my favorite professors at Hope. I really disliked her class at first and it is one of the hardest things I've done, but I've learned so much. She's great at explaining things and really knows her stuff. She's super accessible through phone calls, texts, and emails. She's awesome, but difficult, so be careful!

Comment:

Inman is known as strict and thats true. She requires A LOT and expects you to put in a lot of effort. I think this class is great for those who want honest feedback and growth and a great stepping stone into Psych.

Comment:

This professor is very knowledgeable about psychology, but it is sometimes hard to understand. The notes are not posted online so if you miss a class you will be behind. There is a ton of online homework.

Comment:

Her tests are extremely easy (all multiple choice) and you don't have to read the book, just take lecture notes. However, she's really boring and dry and not a very effective teacher. She's also not very sympathetic with students and comes off as kind of high and mighty. All in all, class is boring but easy.

Comment:

Based on the previous rates I've read, Inman has definitely improved her teaching style. She's always early if you have any questions. She makes outlines for each lecture. She will put sample exams on Moodle for you to test yourself before you take the exam. She's easy to approach and will make sure you understand the material.

This class was kind of boring and she didn't really make it much more interesting with her teaching style. She has a good heart but is very stiff and does everything very systematically. Overall, if you show up and do your work you should be fine.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Honestly the worst professor in the psychology department. She is very intelligent, but does NOT know how to teach or interact with students at all. When you ask her questions she looks at you like "really?" She also has horrible hand writing, so whenever she gives you feedback on papers you can never read it.

STAY AWAY FROM INMAN! She is the worst professor I have had at Hope. Her powerpoints, worksheets, and homework do not make sense and are worded confusingly. She grades harshly but gives no good criteria or instructions beforehand. Each time I go to class I leave feeling more confused and with less knowledge than I had before.

A difficult professor. I personally did not like her teaching style. She used a lot of in-class quizzes (which I wasn't really awake for), had a relatively difficult grading method, and took class extremely seriously compared to many other psych professors. I had a rough start with a D- on the first test that made it tough to battle back with a B-.

Prof. Inman is awful! She is so confusing and words her questions is such a weird way. She will have multiple examples-first ones will be pretty understandable, then she'll quiz you on the last one and it won't even make sense. Her Moodle quizzes are so confusing as well. I've tried talking to her about it, but she doesn't understand.

She is difficult. The information is really interesting and she uses great teaching strategies but she gives TONS of work. Its well worth it though you learn a lot and social psych topics are talked about in every other class

She is terribly unorganized and jumps around from worksheet to worksheet without any connection through the material. She openly admitted to the class at one point that what we were doing had absolutely no relation to what the other worksheet we were working on simultaneously. Very confusing. Hope has many a better prof to offer!

This was a terrible class. The material is interesting, but Prof. Inman is extremely unorganized. I had to spend a lot of time reading and reviewing the book to learn anything. I would never recommend taking a class with her.

DO NOT take this course if you're a management major looking to cover you management elective. This was my first psych class ever and Inman is so disorganized and unpredictable I RARELY had any clue what was going on. She is a nice woman but a terrible professor.

I loved learning in class about social psych. Prof Inman is quirky but really teaches for all learning types and makes it really interesting. Showed lots of videos! You have to a group lab project but that's the hardest part of the class. To do well you definitely need to keep up with the reading and do the study guide.

Comment:

Social Psychology is an extremely interesting subject. I loved the content in this class. Prof. Inman is a bit unusual, but it makes the class even more interesting. To succeed, keep up with your reading, review often, and attend class.

Absolutely awful. Hardest I've ever worked for an A-, and I've taken some tough classes here at Hope. Way too difficult for a 100 level class. Unorganized and lacks key teaching skills. Avoid this professor at all costs.

Really nice lady, but her classes get rather boring, her tests are ridiculously difficult, and her outlines for lecture make almost no sense.
