Bruh his online lecture is absolutely a fking blast during this particular time. His lecture is the only thing I can actually LISTEN to among all the awful online classes I have to take right now. The best thing rn for me is to take a huge puff, sit back on my couch, and listen to this man talking for hours. The way that he teaches is unique andfun

I LOVED professor Caldwell. I hated HUM 1 & 2 but he absolutely made my HUM 5 experience awesome. He talks like a normal human being and makes funny jokes during class and relatable examples that make difficult texts wayyyy easier to understand. Literally the best HUM teacher I have ever had I wish I could take him for all the HUM classes. :))

Great philosophical thinker, highly intelligent, competent, perspective, clarifies, has passion for the subject and gives great detail like an art. Will explain further if you ask. Caldwell rocks. Watching him lecture on Paradise Lost is unforgettable. He must have a man-crush on Milton or something because he was so into the material. He also has a great sense of humor and will talk about a lot of stuff with you in office hours. He is overall one of the best lecturers in hum, or in any class.

Doesn't normally teach HUM 3, but he was so awesome! Lectures were highly entertaining that I never missed class. His humor and deep insight into human nature made the readings become more alive. He also taught us how to think and argue for ourselves. Thus,on top of two essays, final was 3 essay prompts. No regurgitation of facts. Take Caldwell!

Caldwell is funny and very interesting. He lets you speak out in class which is different from many hum classes. First HUM class I actually liked going to. Plus, he's a hottie! you can't go wrong. Take him!

Caldwell as a TA is both great and not so great. He's great at explaining the finer points of lectures in an relatable & funny way. But he is a crazy grader. If you're not overconfident in your writing abilities and care a lot about your grade, then don't take him, because it's hit or miss with him; it's hard to figure out what he wants.

Hum is boring. Caldwell makes material accessible and very interesting. Clear and understandable. MOst HUM professors are old and dull, Caldwell young guy so able to relate to us. Seriously take him even if you hate HUM.

He is amazing! Class always went by so fast because he is entertaining. I usually always feel like i am going to fall asleep in hum classes but i never felt tired in his class! He makes LOTS of jokes and gives relates the material to issues that we understand, like dating, relationships, etc. the only bad thing about him is that hes engaged!

First humanities class that I never fell asleep in. Caldwell kept the class interesting, very rare among hum professors. He made the material more straightforward and bearable.
