The course load was fair, if not on the easy side. There is a relatively small amount of reading, and only a few papers. He does grade hard and is critical for grammar/word choice. If you speak with him directly, you can better understand his preference. He likes clear, consice arguments. He is not easy, but he is not terrible either.

seriously pathetic. the material of the class is simple, but the grading is terrible. Marks off for word choices. I finished a test early and got a C- JUST for finishing early. He even TOLD us that we needed to use the full alloted time on the final otherwise we could not do better than a C. ridiculous. Don't take his class if you value your life.

It's true, he knows his material. He is a VERY hard grader. I have taken a lot of history classes and this was my first C, and I worked really hard to get that C. Come to class as much as you can and read the material because it will catch up with you for the final!

Don't take this class if you want to keep a high GPA. ROUGH grader that is hyper critical on things like word choice. Will diminish your grade, apparently, for finishing tests despite of content. Content is not difficult. Emphasizing REALLY high standards for writing. keep clear, extremely unlikely for you to get a grade higher than a B, if that.

TERRIBLE PROFESSOR. Grades very hard, comments are of little use (often marks down for minor grammatical errors and word choice). Writing my senior paper with him, he has been overly critical, harsh, unsympathetic, and has even threatened to fail me. Don't take him if you value your time and sanity.

He Knows his material, BUT makes you feel stupid if you dont answer his question the way he wants. Also, he grades papers unfairly and rips your writing apart. also he tends to lose them. Overall its his was or the highway. I do not recommend his class.

Do NOT take him under any circumstances!! I took his Race Relations Class which based on the idea of dictatorship on his part rather than democracy. Encourages participation, but only if you share his ideas on the topic. He and ONLY he is right in his class! In addition to that, he will DESTROY your papers completely! He made me feel useless a

Strongly do not recommend this prof. especially if you are looking to write your senior thesis. He expects way too much from the students, as if they have no other classes or lives outside of school. Yes, I agree, he knows what he's talking about, but he's also pretty arrogant, and not helpful.

Professor gives difficult essays and exams, but he prepares you well for them. He not only expects students to attend all lectures, but expects them to discuss and contribute to them as well. He was always willing to offer his time and expertise to students in need of assistance.

He is a great teacher, but doesn't tolerate b.s. from slack students. I loved his lectures, and he is helpful if you go to his office hours. Plus, he's handsome (for an older guy) and has nice hands!

Never lets you out of class on time. Makes you feel really stupid when you make a mistake on your papers or tests. He graded all the papers except one and those were the 2 i did terrible on. He grades the essay tests too. Material is ok but the way it is presented is bad.
