so easy. if you go to class and reword what he says on the PP, you'll make an a. probably an a+. he repeats everything like 8 times so u really know it come test day. he gives a study guide and all questions come from that so even if you don't go to class you'll be fine. i suck at history and made an a barely studied just from going to class

He is a great professor! I found his material really interesting and he explains it well. He gives you study guides for all of the tests and quizzes and offers extra credit opportunities, so it's easy to make an A as long as you go to class and study. Taking him again next semester for World History 2 because I like his teaching style. No textbook

Pretty boring and gives you way more information then you actually need, but the tests were super easy, never read a book once, got all the book and short answer test question answers from someone else. He gets really mad when people walk out of class before its over, so thats fun. You can miss 2 classes wo penalty. Huge history fanatic

Okay here is the thing he tries to be funny but it really doesn't work 80% of the time. He seems like an alright guy but he just isn't that great at 9am. Lots of people had trouble in this class because his lectures tend to be confusing and he is very detail orientated and wants unrealistically specific information.

Loved him! He is very funny and the readings are not bad. Classes are discussion based and are highly interesting. The tests are based on discussions so there pretty easy. As long as you read and come to class its a piece of cake. He's a fun guy.

Dr. Smith is an awesome teacher. He class is very funny and he tells great stories. He is great. I would recommend him to anyone taking World Lit 1. Just make sure you read when he assigns you something, because he gives several quizzes on what you read over the semester. The tests are not that bad. Take him if you get a chance.

This is not an easy class, but if you do the work u will pass. Lots of reading in one reading assignment and annoying 5 question quizzes every class meeting. Other than that, the class is good. Take good notes, the mid-term and final come straight from the class discussions. Lots of writing on tests, but easy if u study notes b4 hand. Not an easy A

One of my favorite classes at Auburn. He is very intelligent and well traveled and really brings a new perspective to the literature you study. Class discussions are a good part of your grade so speak up. He is very laid back and interested in his students' success. I wish I could take him again.

i dont see how anyone could possibly not like dr smith. he's a great guy, he's really laid back, and he cancells class about once a week. i may not have learned a whole lot in his class but its great books, so you're not going to learn a lot with anyone. and he looks like a redneck kurt cobain.

Studied the night before the test and got A's. You have to make him belive your arguements in the paper. Write about things he mentions in class, but do not write the same paper as everyone else. He'll appreicate an original topic. Put effort into the project, he takes it seriously. Go to class and he'll be more likely to help you with anyour work.
