If you got A's in the pre-req's (Finance 1 and 2, Financial Accounting Analysis), his class is very doable by going to lectures and reviewing notes. If you didn't do well in those classes, you have to study like crazy to have any hope. Strong students will learn a ton from Moh'd, weak students will be left behind. Great professor.

His exam is piece of X, no practice, no review. Only about 50% for teaching content, other 50% for past finance and accounting course, which is so ridiculous. A good tutor but a terrible course exam maker.

Toughest class of Finance undergrad. Rude in class but friendly during office hours. Tests primarily consist of material learned in past finance course but more difficult. Will curve tests because very few will earn over 50% Complete toss up on what to expect on tests and how they are marked. The textbook is useless. good luck

Dr. Moh'D is one of the best professor in the Finance Department. His lectures are engaging and interesting. His course goes beyond Finance and math. It requires students to think critically. I believe Financial Management should be a mandatory course for all majors.

Best Prof I ever had in SMU. He digs deep in the core of corporate finance and actually makes you think logically. Take a lot of notes and make sure to understand each and every component you write down on that piece of paper. Yes, he is tough and tricky. But I worked my ass off and ended with A-. Totally worth it!!

The guy tests hard. His mid term is intentionally meant to be crazy hard. I've been out of university and into the world field for a few years now. He is still the most influential prof I've had and although he's difficult you will learn the most in his class

He's a tricky little dude, but if you go to his classes and pay attention, you'll do fine on the tests. He's nicer outside class, will help. Know your financial accounting, save your notes from FIN 1 and 2. Study smart, and you won't have to put too many hours into this course.

He is a Financial genius. His class is the most challenging class of your undergrad, but if you put in the 10 hours/week of studying you will be rewarded. Don't be scared to ask questions; he loves students who speak out in class, even though 90% of the time we're wrong. He loves to trick you so make sure you review everything from previous classes

This is hands down the best professor I have ever had at SMU. It is the most difficult course but also I learned more than all other courses combined. I have the upmost respect for this prof. He is brilliant and a great professor. I highly encourage students to take his course

Dr. Moh'D is the worst professor I have ever had, I personally feel bad for the guy he is just depressing to be around. I'm enrolled in CFA level II, and like pretty well everyone, just passed his course. Luckily SMU introduced a new professor for FINA 4463. Avoid this man at all costs and enroll with the new professor. You can thank me later

Corporate Finance is probably one of the more useful courses in a finance degree. Mohd is what he is. He's a very bitter and angry person but overall it's an interesting class. SMU is a terrible school so a lot of the weaker students will cry because Mohd will NOT bump up their grades. Take tons of notes, very important.

The challenge is that he wants the realistic answer and not the numerically correct answers for a lot of questions. He will try to trick you into giving numerically correct but dumb answers. Avoid that on the midterm (which I didn't) and you'll be fine on the final. The course material itself is not difficult. He is otherwise a nice guy.

Hard to study from his lectures. Would be better to issue assignments so students will know what to expect on mid terms and finals. Also is very vague on what will be on exams and seems to test you on material related to previous finance courses. Study everything you do in class for the midterm and you may still fail.

Overall I thought this was an excellent class. The lectures were very interesting and I definitely learned a lot but I would have liked to see a little more take home assignment/practice questions. I also found Dr Moh?d very helpful; show up to class, do the work, and he?ll be glad to answer any questions you have. Definitely not an easy class
